Re: Carrier upgrade cost

Even if you upgrade within the same type/line, i.e. Lexington to Lexington and so on, I found the upgrade cost often inattractive for a +1/+2 stat increase, often of not primarily attractive stats. Some units like Infantry benefit greatly and its a must have for them, improving the air defense of a ...

Re: Still can't find new camo skins

It's not for all units. Actually, most unit types have no camo skin. Like planes and ships or infantry.

Find one of your TANKS and click it. (I)
It's, in the "i" panel, the unit information panel.

It's the white button in the top left corner of the unit icon box.

Re: Patch 1.8.3 is out & Mac Release

I am probably not the only one who is just annoyed by your rude attitude. For me it does not matter if you post in German or English, what and how you are saying is beyond acceptable standards. If you cannot communicate in a less annoying way I actually hope that you go totally apeshit and get remov...

Re: New Zealand - IJN Campaign

The counter attack AFTER I took the final objective was unexpected and quite annoying, even if it was not really a problem to defeat.
The final turns became quite a long many units slogging it out match.

Melbourne, here I come.

Re: New Zealand - IJN Campaign

This is already a monologue, but I think I crushed the enemy counteroffensive. :)
Notice the super heavy tank, it was quite useful for holding that bridge.

Re: Suggestions for Improvement

Hi B52, your observations about many scenarios having few to no to remote land based airfields during the Japanese campaign are correct and many people already complained about it. There was some discussion about a trait to build airfields etc. but in the end (IMO) it boils down to this: The current...

Re: Is the grand campaign worth it?

It's fun, but is an incredible timesink (I spent 3.5 years on my playthrough). I'll suggest you just get '39 up to '42 (East), these are much more enjoyable than the last 3 years of the war :D I can only second everything he said. And to expand on that, the DLC 40/41 are incredibly good. The year 4...

New Zealand - IJN Campaign

After a surprisingly easy battle for Brisbane I have now reached New Zealand. General MacArthur got captured in the last scenario. I wonder if the super slow but "Super Heavy Tank I/O" is worth it or just a slow moving liability, ineffective on the offensive? Any other hints are appreciated, of cour...

Re: Brisbane (Japan)

Making surprisingly good progress in Brisbane so far.

I am often surprised how difficult some scenarios I deem easy can actually be and how easy some I am afraid of, as in this case.

Re: What difficulty do you play on?

You need to get rid of Panzer Corps/General thinking as the game is deceptively much like them but also plays quite differently. That is what made things difficult for me. Some hints: 1. Use more artillery. At least 2 if not even 3. It reduces enemy efficiency and has really long range. 2. Just take...

Brisbane (Japan)

I have reached the Brisbane scenario! :)

Lots of resources are pouring in, it'S feeling a bit like Leyte for the US in this regard.

Am I in for a surprise or is this already a "the campaign is basically won" scenario with little resistance?

Re: New Caledonia (Japan)

Making good progress, 3-4 150m Artillery help a lot. The main obstacle is the disfunctional road mechanic, as it makes the road route quite longish.

The bombers sent my way failed, as I didn't destroy the radar in time.

But I think I won't need them at all.
