The mines' ability to block off complete hex tiles is too powerful to be sold too cheap. Same with the arty counter-battery fire ("bombard") ability, IMO. Agree. For ever the same price = 20 RP, if your engineer unit has a strength = 5 then you will lay a minefield with strength = 5 :shock:

Mines should cost only 10 You can change this by changing the cost in the units.csv file. Not sure it’s a good idea, it would be too easy to stop enemy attacks by placing a pile of mines. It is better to place few mines but in the right place (for example on bridges or roads) to slow the enemy adva...
