Re: some thoughts on cavalry and historical realism in the g

Moving two BGs to split the fire thus making the shooting totally ineffective. Having no target priority would allow the tabletop player to fire both BGs at one target with a chance of some hits, thus a test.

Multiplayer Issue

I had just started a new game as the Imperialists and the server switched me to the Swedes when I tried to upload my first move ?

Re: some thoughts on cavalry and historical realism in the g

. one thing that should be implemented is priority shooting target: right now everyone can direct all the fire into one enemy unit until it breaks, then repeat with another. very unrealistic. . Yes I agree, very different to the table top rules but does overcome some of the tabletop cheese associat...

Re: Pike&Shot for FoG players

Really miss Generals. They play such a big part in FoG ( all FoG Rule-sets) Please can they be included some how ? Just a +1 for moral if they are close, or with a B.G., would be great. I hear that a new version of FoG Digital is being released sometime soon, how are Generals going to be programmed ...

I did the same, no problems. Having the rule book at hand is really handy when you are playing.

Have only played the Ottomans against the Poles in skirmish battles of various sizes. Results are even.

Artillery Shooting From Hills

Are artillery shooting down hill less effective than artillery on level ground ?

Re: Cataphracts

I should of posted this earlier, better late than never. At the last Wellington Warlords annual wargames convention, 'Call 2 Arms', a themed FoG AM competition was held, Rome and her Enemies up to 450AD, 900 points. There were 8 of us, 5 with Romans, 3 with enemies of Rome. The winner, Andre Evers o...

Re: LRR List suggestions

How do you want to use the LF within the overall context of your army? A. Hunter killer group to attack enemy LF - is this realistic? B. Skirmishers line to delay the enemy's advance and buy you time to position your proper troops - in which case 2 BGs of 4 would be good so long as you scuttle them...

Terrain QRS

There was a very good Terrain Chart made available by one of our Forum Members some years back in the early days of FoG AM, which I downloaded and still use. Some local players have been asking about it but I can not find it now on my PC, or anywhere on the Forum. The QRS was 1 A4 page, colours main...
