Re: V2: LH-Cavalry Mix for Mounted Archer Armies

I did this basing once when I used my DBM army as an Early Byzantine....got some complaints but frankly I think it's fine to represent Cav BGs to have both 3 and 2 to a stand figures.

Re: Basing Thueroporoi / thoratikai: MF vs. HF

Now that we know for sure that Thueroporoi and Thoraktikai are not losing their "may be deployed either as MF or HF" option, I am wondering how to base my models. I see 3 options: 1) Base them all as MF 2) Base them all as HF 3) Buy and paint two different sets of them, one MF and the other HF. Wha...

I'm thinking no more than 2 or 3 light horse needed at an 800 point army now....just my opinion.

Barbarian Impact Foot A couple Superior protected Liqht Spear Sword (taken as Heavy Foot) A couple light horse + filler +4 initiati...

Allamani versus LRR Allamani had 2superior warbands and a gob of average, one light foot bow, and two protected superior cav. Romans where a mix of average, superior and elite with one protecte...

Re: FoG:AM v2 - improvement suggestions for electronic forma

A search function is pretty basic. Compare this to any PDF rules I have purchased and I believe it is less functional. A built in ARMY builder that can send files to a PDF. Blitzkrieg commander has this and it's great. Possibly tied to the army books. So far the app is functioning better. The qrs pa...

Re: iPad working much better....

Ok, I may have spoken too soon. I was able to crash it some more after playing a while.

Also suggested: Turn on airplane mode seems to help.

Speed and navigating is better but still can get it to crash regular.

My iPad is now navigating VERY fast and I can click on e contents tabs and zoom to every page instantly. No more crash...

Re: FoG2 iPad app crashing

Thanks, so this means data should go to slitherine automatically...fine. It appears a memory crash. I also noted that the fog app takes up as much hard drive space as 30-40 iBooks. maybe no biggie if it doesn't grow at the same space when adding other books.

Re: FoG2 iPad app crashing

The crashing of the rules seems to happen any time I try to access any of the later chapters.....wether from the index or by manually scrolling over.

Re: Field of Glory goes 2.0 !

I have run one tournament with preset terrain, maybe one open table, one crowded and most of the rest fairly moderate. I had a thought to do it again and pre-announce what battle field terrain would be modeled, say picking tables form the 40 or so battles listed in Phil Sabins book Lost Battles.

Terrain in fow is preset. For some reason it's objected to by most fog players.

Re: Ancient Spanish army-Heavy or Medium?

If you don't go the Roman option, I would consider taking celtibarians mercs as heavy. I seem to remember you have the option this way to mix heavy and medium foot. The issue than is you need to have some way to tell them apart easily. I used to say always take medium foot over heavy foot, as they b...

Well, you can help by telling me how to create an account on the iPad. I downloaded the app and it doesn't work...and can't create a password.
