Re: Weak AI

Main faults: 1) AI sends its fleets piecemal, so you can take them out easily. I managed to support my German 1914 western front offensive with battleships and even took out one British battleship in the process. That woudl have not been possible if the AI fleets did their job. 2) Central powers ove...

Re: Banzai charges any good?

Still, have yet to see a suecessfull banzai charge. Each time leads to unsatisfying result, never forced the opponent to retreat, each time feels like a regular attack would have been a better option.

Re: First impressions

When it comes to naval component of the game I am still struggling with it but I am aware there are some rules I am not using to its full potential so no final verdict from me on that part. More complex modeling of naval or air warfare is not so common for many players. Land combat is like a second...

Banzai charges any good?

Is it just me, or is the banzai charge specialisation a shmuck bait? I've treied using it on a variety of enemy units, including ones that were cut off, out of msupply, in cloear terrain etc. In each and every case the enemy delt me quitew some damage, while I did nothing. Entirely not the results t...

First impressions

So far, I like the land combat, especially the efficiency&supply. Its a simple but effective mechanic to simulate weariness, supply etc. So far I dislike the naval system though. First and foremost while the land forces unit roster includes everything down to hypotethical and prototype units, the na...

Re: Specialisations for future nations?

China Manpower - allow overstrength of Chinese Infantry units; allow for cheaper costs to replace and purchase infantry units. - If there is one advantage the Chinese had in WWII, it was an abundance of manpower. This specialization would represent the large number of available manpower in China du...

I've been reading up on fortifications of the era and it struck me how easy it is currently to invade and swiftly conquer Switzerland and the Netherlands becuase the historical forts are missing.

Re: Any tips for holding Serbia?

Tips: 1) Buy Serbian infantry, not garrisons most of the time 2) Do not employ your garrisons in "corner" positions - at the corner of your line where they can ghet attacked by 3+ units of the ennemy. 3) Remember you can swich positions, so feel free to cycle the damaged units to teh rear and replac...

7. Tiger teams : only way to win ? I just started so my opinion is probably wrong... But the lesson I learned : if you want to success whatever your chance (even maxed) you should have lots of $$$ to pay for multiple tiger teams. And then it works. Otherwise : bang :( So don't research the last 0,x...

Re: GS 3.0 AI getting hung up it seems

I'm playing GS 3.1 as the allies. Game freezes up during turn 52 (the turn USSR would enter the game on my side).

Attached a save, simply clik end turn and see the game free on the AI's turn.
