Re: Allies, who you going to play first?

That has nothing to do about making the game harder, it's about giving players more choices. If I could either take one heavy tank or say two mediums ones I might go for the medium ones. Right now you just take usually what's best for the number of core slots you have which comes down to maximum arm...

Re: Allies, who you going to play first?

I have to admit that this expansion is not living up to my hopes but that's more due the inherited flaws about the prestige system. When you have a limited number of core slots available you usually aim to get the strongest units which pretty much exludes any units with a low armor rating especially...

Re: Sealion 45

It's been a while since I did that mission but I bascially used my V-rockets fairly early to get through the London defense asap. I also landed a small force NE where there wasn't much resistance. I also made sure to block that narrow gap (bridge) in the East which prevented tons of reinforements po...

Re: Dossier Tool

That's great news and I really like the idea of a history screen. What I'd really like to see being able to compare two different dossiers, so depending on ones core setup. That would allow players to judge their own skill a bit, since you could compare the prestige gain, losses etc.

I always play with Chess mode. There were far too many instances where I was really close smashing my keyboard ;)

Re: Advanced Options bug in 1.20

I just did copy the gamerules.pzdat into the GC39 folder and tested it starting a new campaign. The chess option def. seems to work that way.

Re: Save Game Subfolders

Yeah the more save games you have the longer the load screen will take. As far as I know there is no way for the game accessing subfolders directly so you probably need to follow your approach creating those folders yourself and copy the files manually in case you need that particluar save.

Re: Patch 1.20

Noticed that the Advanced Option really do nothing when playing the East or West campaign. No matter where I put the sliders or what option I tick. It was the same in the Beta as well, was working fine for the Allied campaign but not for East or West (though have to admit I did not report it at the ...

You need to toggle "Ground/Air Surface". That was an intentional change which came with 1.14.

Re: Difficulty of West GC42/43 vc GC44?

I'd say overall the West campaign in general is a lot harder then the East one but far better balanced. And yes, Eindhoven is probably the hardest scenario from that DLC campaign.

Re: Special Heroes: Hans Rudel

I think they deliberately did not remove the reconaissance Stuka after his change of career path which makes sense since we would have people complaining where that plane did go without prior notice. I took it as free prestige and actually really like how he came back with those imba hero stats in M...

Ah ok, thanks for the answer. I was almost expecting that but got slightly confused when I checked the list of scenarios and noticed a few were missing. Well, at least I won't get bored over the weekend ;)

Grand Campaign West / End of the Elbe - Bug

Got a decisive victory but the game just ended. Is that a known bug and/or anyone else with the same issue? The briefing is the same like after a loss which was odd too.

Re: Celles - DV? I don't think so

Yeah I have a hard time on that scenario as well for a DV, especially taking all the refueling into account. I think the round limit is a bit too low - 19 or 20 would be more appropriate.

Re: My guilty cheating pleasure

As long as you're having fun and enjoying it, there is nothing wrong with it. Besides even "reform units" is classified as a cheat it is widely used by players. The game offers a lot of ways to tweak the difficulty, so just play the way you're getting the most fun out if it :)

Re: Dossier Tool

About the minor bug to give you an example. E.g. I am just at Sedan and noticed while putting in the numbers in that one of my tanks got a movement hero bonus at Narvik. In case I now correct that, i.e go back to Narvik and put in the bonus it won't show up in any of the following scenarios up to Se...
