Re: point system quality

Hi, Rest assured that plenty of thought and discussion went into the points system, but no one is claiming that it is perfect. Cheers, John Shaw As the author who spent most of his time on the lists I can absulutely second that for the number of times I have had to review and redo all the lists I h...

Re: Question re Basing

Hi, Just have received the book and like what I see so far. I am going to try the quick play scenario and had a quick question about basing. I have a pretty large 28 mm Napoleonic collection with forces from France, Great Britain and Allies as well a budding Prussian Collection. All my cavalry and ...

Re: Errors in Army List

[ Don
I know the rule book says that Austrians are reformed, but I think this is a typo, and it is supposed to read 'move as reformed, shoot as unreformed'. Is this correct? Cheers Brett
Yes that is a mistake. We had experimented with the idea of making Austrians the reverse of the B...

Re: LOC

In truth doesn't 60mm by 60mm seem a rather odd size? Danny Weitz An LOC is of coyrse not the same as a supply camp in FOG(A) . Its primary game purpose is to give the players a good reason to get into the rear lines of their opponents and generals were concerned at this time about preserving their...

Army Lists in the next two books

People might like to know that in the two books of lists we make provision in many of the lists for one or more divisions to be employed or imported from other lists (still within the overall maximum of 4 divisions for a standard game). This is particularly important for reserve cavalry corps and Gu...

Re: Errors in Army List

The russian Uhlans have no lancer capability . is it intentionnal or an ommission ? ( if intentionnal, funny when you know that Napoleon introduced lancers after having fought the russians and their Uhlans :D ) And by the way : no French Lancers ? The Russian Corps Army of the West 1812 list line f...

Re: Field of Glory Napoleonic books arrived!

I cancelled my order until I hear more on what will be in the books ... cmon folks - someone here must know what will be in the books. The other two books will contain around 150 army lists between them ( I have lost count as we complete the second book!) . "Triumph of the Nations" covers from 1809...

Re: QQ 6mm

If people don't want to paint then they should hire a commission, but don't throw a bunch of poorly painted crap on the table......or a completely different scale so that the game looks silly. It's not a flame argument. It's a seriously justifiable argument.....why would I play tabletop Wargames if...

Re: Only Napoleonic?

Earlier 18th Century Lists alone are not the issue for the earlier part (most) of the 18th century in my view. Including 1792-1802 in FOG(N) has been the most interesting and challenging part of this work as so few previous Napoleonic rule sets and game designs seem to have covered it - at least not...

Re: Westphalian List

There is also an 1809 Westphalian list which forms the core for the 10th Corps in Germany with Dutch troops and provision for a Saxon or French Division from their lists.
