Unit Names not appearing

I am not seeing the custom modified team names in mutliplayer - just the generic names. Rather important to organize and identify units in a campaign. Thanks.

Disbanding Instead of Retreating

In MP had a Highland unit that invaded Skyline. Fared poorly against AT guns trained on the entry area and FM broke. It "could not regroup" although the conditions in 18.14 were met: 1. ended due to FM failure 2. held one victory location (in the entry area, so should be an "exit vicotry location") ...

Re: Classical Antiquity; winner post your result here please

The table is missing one of my battles listed in my last post. Just one more game with Landwehr to go. The first 8 are 7-1.

Sorry about that Mike. I will put it here and add it to the table later on . . .

Re: Poll about Classical Antiquity

Definitely no. Offer a Theme for those who want it. The reason for not having Opens is to keep the knight armies and the older armies in separate competitions so timid armies are not afraid to come out and play. Quite enough. As said above, the classical armies intimidate lancer armies and lancer ar...

Re: Pike and Shot announced

I play FOG Digital, but a huge problem with the hex and combat model is the zone of control effect which makes it possible to create the classic board game barrier units with an empty hex or two between them which can't be penetrated. There is no crack unit punching itself a hole through a line and,...

Re: When the beta starts...

Maybe there will be random play with options for historical opponents, for contemporary opponents or within the DLC/army set, and then more freewheeling options.

Re: Allied Corps way to easy?

The solution for how to design a proper Soviet campaign, forcing the player to use massive amounts of inferior units, is actually quite simple. Small CORE, lots of AUX units. In the beginning Soviet goals should be to defend only a few Victory Hexes or having a certain number of units escape encirc...

Re: Distant Worlds: Universe Release Today

I have this and the first two expansions - it was a good and improving game, with many UI tools and views to manage or automate aspects of empire and a lot of freedom in configuring the settings for the map and game. I welcome the good news that if I buy by May 30 I can get a $40 discount. An easy d...

Re: Cavalry Tactics

Examples of tabletop tactics are especially useful - basic sound tactics are not as obvious as they are for infantry, and the opportunity to profit by being clever seems high.
