Let's hope I get to play 'Bob Middlemist' as he must be a newbie!

Re: Campaign 2017 May 6/7th Milton Keynes Team event

I've just read the players pack and realised that, after my poor performances so far this year, I'm in serious training for that wooden spoon!

I certainly am. Scots Covenanter.

List e-mailed to Tom some time ago but, having not heard back, I have just re-sent it.

Re: Southern League 'Way of The Warriors' June 5th

Will, thanks for doing a great job ensuring a good day for all. Your efforts introducing a fun element were appreciated. Other than the two suggestions proffered I don't think that much else needs to be changed. I would endorse both the deeper set-in (you) and BG/ break point restriction (Tim) ideas...

Re: Southern League FOG R 2016 at Oxford

...has anyone got any idea why I find myself furiously painting and basing extra figures for this weekend just to be able to field a more coherently painted, and more overtly "Scottish" army, despite having far too many generic ECW Pike & Shotte already ...? The other Coventanter General has been a...

Re: Samurai Litter

The bearers are certainly Dixon. The litter could be scratch-built or an adaption of something from a tourist craft shop. Would be good if someone can identify it.

Re: STOKE CHALLENGE 2015 Sunday 5th July 2015

Thanks to Ray and Keith for an excellent day and to my opponents Simon, Ray and Dene. Congratulations to Dene and to Steve who did very well with his all Average army. And congratulations to Martin Stephenson who brought a knife to a gunfight with his arquebus era Persians but who did win "Best Pre...

Re: STOKE CHALLENGE 2015 Sunday 5th July 2015

There is a slight change in player list for tomorrow. Jon Phipps cannot now attend but I am pleased that Simon Green from Burton has taken up the 10th place. Give us a Cluedo? To save you guessing – Mr Green is not using the lead pipe in the conservatory but Late Habsburg Austrian 1688 in the Stoke ...

Re: STOKE CHALLENGE 2015 Sunday 5th July 2015

This is just a reminder for anyone playing at Stoke Challenge to get their lists into me ASAP.

When I posted this I forgot that I would be away at the BHGS Oxford Brookes event over the weekend. So that gives a little lee-way from the original deadline.

Re: The 2015 BHGS Challenge, June 20/21st

I thoroughly enjoyed the Challenge this weekend. This was despite appalling dice on the first day and finishing in “middle-ranking mediocrity”. Thanks to all my opponents (Steve, Chris, Paul, Marc and Dave) for tough but great games. Congratulations to Nigel for avoiding me and ending up with more p...

Re: STOKE CHALLENGE 2015 Sunday 5th July 2015

The Compulsory terrain feature must be placed on the table If they do not fit do you: 1) Move them nearer than 4" to the other piece? 2) Have it less than 8" from the edge? Hi Bob, Sorry for the delay but I wanted to check with Keith Spedding who will be the FoGR Umpire at Stoke. Keith says: "move ...
