Besiegers don't gain their bonus when defending against a siege. As regards to the 'Coward' trait, the manual says it gives "-1 movement, -1 on all values in a siege", which seems pretty unambigiously negative.

I recently joined my first multiplayer game of FOGE, the Field of Diplomacy: Winds of Change game, as Aethiopia. We're currently only at turn 4. It will certainly be interesting to see where it goes.

It's a new addition in a recent patch. You can find it among the buttons on the top bar of the window that's shown when you have an army selected. When active, if the army enters a hostile region, it will fight any hostile armies present there, but won't seize control of that region even if it wins ...

Most heavy infantry is weaker or at least way less cost-effective than medium infantry in mountains, as they suffer a -2 attack and defense penalty on that terrain (indicated on their unit card). In some circumstances a medium infantry might die where a heavy would survive because they have less hit...

I know of this list, though it only includes the provinces and names, and is partially out of date after the latest patches (the units in the desert provinces of Northwest Africa being switched from camelry to light cavalry is the biggest change, I believe).

Yellow represents damage to efficiency points and red to hitpoints. Units that have efficiency damage suffer a penalty to combat rolls, units that fall to 0 hitpoints are destroyed.

0-0 generals still contribute up to +2 to siege rolls (up the number of units with a siege bonus within the army) and enable the army to use the Retaliate order.

To construct heavy warships, you need a building with level 3 ship building capability, such as a Shipyard. Some factions have additional prerequisites - I think tribals need to hit civilization level III first or something like that? I don't recall the details.

Gmail is marking my MP notifications as spam too. There was a message to the effect that it was because of the message not following Google's recommendations for how to send emails.

Do you mind if I claim Aethiopia instead of Nubia? Although it has to conquer a couple of regions in order to get a land border with Ptolemy, it starts the game with a far stronger economy and has no trouble expanding fast, so I don't think it has less of a chance of impacting the game overall.

In this case, the only benefit you get is the building's direct effect. The trade good won't actually be imported into the region and won't count as available to other buildings.

Each warship can provide 1 supply point to land units to cover shortfalls after other sources of supply have been exhausted. The total is split between land units in adjacent regions (including ones embarked on transports). Each supply point is worth 1/5th of an unit of food.

The trade range of the importing region is what matters, not the trade range of the exporting region. Since Media has a trade range of only 3, it's too far away to import goods from Babylon.

Workers assigned to food production in mountains and arid terrain already have reduced food output - you can see if you mouse over food workers in different terrains and compare the values. The food output of buildings isn't modified, but certain food-related buildings can't be build in those terrai...

Only factions with the Settled Oasis modifier can have those. This includes Arabia and most desertic tribes.
