Re: U-boat Mod v1.0

A very welcome mod! Thanks Ice! Good job! :-) thanks iceFlame :) You're both very welcome. Hope you enjoy it! :) I'm also working on a few additions for an updated version. Currently planning to add periscope markings (for the part above water), a new 'Decks Awash' mode and rear torpedo capability....

As they were historically. Struggling and with most of Europe under their belt.

Re: Spring - Ceasefire on all fronts

Now that the winter is over and spring is in the air - at least in Central Europe - I have just deinstalled Panzer Corps in a moment of reason - or foolishness. Along with a vow to do more sports and eat less, I intend to cease playing computer games during the sunny season. It also helped that the...

U-boat Mod v1.3

http://www.pictureshack.us/images/16151_U-boat_Mod_Title_Icon.png U-boat Mod v1.3 The U-boat mod allows five different modes of operation. Now you can dive deep, surface, submerge to periscope depth, escape and evade or run at decks awash. Also, all four weapon systems are fully modeled so you can ...

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v1.2

Well, as Orwell wrote in Nineteen Eighty-Four 'WAR IS PEACE'... 'IGNORANCE IS STRENGHT'... And... 'FREEDOM IS SLAVERY'... Lots of good oxymorons there, which with a name like iceFlame, is right up my alley. But seriously, landmark book filled with lots of contradictions in terms which stimul...

Re: The Path to Rearmament - 1936-45 (WIP)

I'll have to do some more research on Manstein and Chuikov then... Manstein is widely considered perhaps the greatest strategic mind of the war, bar none. And Chuikov, well, his legendary determination to cling to the banks of the Volga despite wave after wave of Wehrmacht attack speaks for itself....

Re: WWI - Mod Graphics (secondary forum)

Craters: I would like also to see them in the map (they were very common in WWI battlefields), but also to have some effect to the units movement (as was the case historically)... For example heavily cretered hexes could be classified as "swamps" (the shell holes tended to be filled with water) and...

Re: HQ units idea

An idea similar to this is being implemented in my new "The Path to Rearmament" Mod (http://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=147&t=49355). In this, if you have an HQ in the same zone as some armies, your HQ will heal them by 1, approx 1 in every 2 turns. Most major nations have 3 of them. -...

Re: The Path to Rearmament - 1936-45 (WIP)

Another new feature is "general" units, that increase the strength of adjacent units by 1 each turn. Generals appear as recon cars. Most major nations will have 3 each, where minors will usually have only 1. Germany: Rommel, Guderian, Bock Great Britain: Montgomery, Wavell (until 1941, when he must...

In that case I will rename all my ships to either Bismarck or Tirpitz. 8) And then there might be more than just one 6th Army in my army (only to confuse the enemy). 8) 8) I suspect the confusion would extend beyond the enemy. I can just see the poor quartermaster sending the winter gear to the 6th...

It's time I declared a Modding War on Battlefield Europe! Mod wars! Awesome. Makes the game better so all the players win. Bit of a sub update: So I added Mac's suggestions, (very good ones BTW), plus new custom sounds for the deck and flak guns. (Also added deck gun animation and stripped d...
