But one thing that occurred to me is that perhaps paratroops should have some supply costs for the Axis if operating in North Africa. Additionally, perhaps the cost of a paratroop jump should increase depending on the Axis supply level. In other words, a jump from England to France would be "cheape...

Sounds Like GARs need to be added to Tabriz and Bandar Pahlavi to give the russians a chance to reinforce those cities, given that holding one of them is critical to the russian-allied future. My success against you was primarily because I was able to bring significant forces through those two citie...

Re: Suggestion regarding German synth oil

It seems to me that with the changes we made for stopping the German armor and mech blobs then the Germans can actually run out of oil too soon. I would therefore suggest that we could link the max production from the Scholven and Leuna synth oil fields to the German industry level. E. g. : Industr...

In order to encourage players to DoW Holland and Belgium at the same turn we could also do the following. 1. Belgium will NOT lose any efficiency if Holland is already surrendered when Belgium is DoW'ed. This means it will be slightly harder to take Belgium if Holland is German controlled. That wou...

Re: Proposed change for Norway / Denmark

In order to encourage the Germans to DoW Denmark and Norway at the same time we could do the following. 1. Norway would not lose any efficiency if Denmark is already conquered when the Germans DoW Norway 2. Norwegian units would have strength 4 instead of 10 if Denmark was still neutral at the same...

Re: Destroyer Question

I just started playing Allies side w/2.0, after going thru. Axis for 5-6 days before. It semed like just about every form of navel unit for AI Allies(when I'm Axis) could attack subs when exposed. Now as Allies, none of my navel units can attack, only bombers?? Why?? What did I miss; I read manual ...

I may not be making my point well. Moscow, London and, of course, Berlin were all bombed extensively during the war so to do so is historical to do in CEAW. Paris and Rome were not, and yet to conquer France and Italy their capitals must be attacked - usually bombed, definitely ground assaulted. No...

But if the Russians recapture Iraq, isn't the recovered Iraqi oil counted in the Western Allies' column? That would be because Iraq enters the war as a British ally, and if the Russians recapture Kirkuk from the Germans, its oil production is counted as "British." Am I right? In my recent game that...

You can also drop a fighter in an undefended city to buy yourself enough time to bring troops up next turn, unless the fighters is destroyed you have time to move it and reinforce. I agree with you this should be changed, air units should be crushed by land units. and as far as oil goes, I have bee...

What about removing the port in London and adding the city of Dover (without PP's) with a port to the NE? My concern is that putting London north of the Thames makes it significantly harder for the Germans to get a supply source - they would be forced to land near Norwich or Southampton otherwise, ...

Hi, I think we are trying to add too much smaller scale to a large scale game. If this is done then the argument could be made elsewhere on the map. My inclination is to let this change (ie. river Thames) happen and then we can see. I would normally agree except that I think the issues around Sea L...

I've been studying the map of south east england and just realised that one of the reasons that we have run into trouble is that London is actually about half a hex further west than it is shown. An interesting solution would be to move London one hex to the north west (still north of the river Tham...

That's true, but then the access to London from the south will be less. It will be narrow to the Dover area (only 1 hex row high). But landings down there are unlikely to occur there anyway with attacks on London being across the river. Its interesting to note how much of Paris is actually north of...

With the change of river flow around London, perhaps Chatham should be moved south to where it actually is? (ie on the south side of the Thames) The main downside of moving Chatham south is that it makes the Dover area quite congested but I cant see that area being a major landing site with London b...

BTW since I have been a member of the beta group but a week. What's the logic behind the "no surprise if Capital in bad weather when DoWed on" rule?
