Actually I found the AI in Galactic Civilisations II to be extremely competent, indeed even taunting. When I played my first game of it and hobbled the AI to help learn the game (the tutorial are one of its weak points), I'd get a messages from the computer players like "I know what you're about to...

Yeh its best to work these things out for yourself - so thanks for holding back so far! Well game number 2 is underway and I've decided to do an aar on it as that'll a) help me focus so I dont put in too poor of a showing and b) make it easier for others to offer suggestions on any mistakes I make! ...

Fraps

Not wanting to exit the game every time I take a screen shot I thought I'd give fraps a whirl....but for some reason it does not seem to work with this game?

Has anyone else tried fraps?

Sounds like you enjoyed your games. Oh yes the 1st game was a blast.....I will admit is been a long time since I played a strat game and didn't manage to beat it 1st time round! Infact I think the last game to beat me was Spartan! So kudos to Sliterine for challenging me! Assuming you're on a PC hi...

Good game!

Just bought this yesterday and it does not disapoint in any way! I have to say when I see the name slitherine on the box my expectations go up (loved Legion, chariots, spartan/troy and Legion Arena) and so far all expectations met! Despite other posts here stating its easy I'm finding far from - the...

page 133 in the terrain grade/effect table. For both disorder and severe disorder it states - does not count as steady

I had trouble working it out as well until i'd re-read the rule book about 100 times and finally noticed this section!

After looking into both Licoln barn and Iron acton groups ot would appear neither play FOG...shame but obviously not too useful for me! Hi Martin - Yeovil like Glos isn't too bad for me and I expect in the not too distant future I'll be in touch about that offer due to my earlier statement on wideni...

Thanks Steve, I kinda discounted Lincombe Barn as I did go to a few meets quite a few years ago and found them to be not as friendly as I'd hoped (it was that experience that put me off of clubs at the time) but might be worth another look now as was a long time ago and im sure a lot can change I ne...

Looking for FOG players in Bristol, UK

Hi all, As the title says i'm looking for players and/or a gaming group in the Bristol area..... A little background on myself - I have played WRG 7th edition with my dad and uncle for quite some time (over 15 years) though I'm not entirely convinced we ever actually got the rules totally right........
