One idea for GAR blob, we need to impose limits like we have for other combat units. So a number like 30 to 35 would be the soft limit.

This would satisfy most of the countries that have large numbers of Gar's normally. (ie Germany, Russia, and the UK)

Paras would not count against this limit.

For opposed landings (occupied hexes) you must be within 10 hexes of the nearest port. This is where the game shows LST images and not transport images. Transport images

are for unopposed landings (non-occupied). This for Corps sized units. GARS can only do unopposed landings.

If selected at the beginning of the game ( on by default), Shorter intercept range for land based air units is attack range divided by 2 + 2 hexes. If there is an attack made by long range TAC and SAC the FTR intercept range will be equal to the attack range. Now in your case maybe the German fighte...

One reason is the game is 1024 by 768 which is 4:3 ratio while 1920 by 1080 is 16:9 ratio so it will not fill the entire screen unless you change the screen to 1024 by 768.

I have to disagree with your idea that a hex designation of city covers the entire hex. That is a fallacy. It just says that is the prominent feature, but not the entire hex. I am not sure, but I think the code checks for available hexes and will bounce the sub to an empty hex.

If re-loading the scenario files does not work then a complete install will need to be done. I have no idea that I know except a clean fresh install.

OK that clears that up. I have never heard of this happening. Something is a miss with your install.

Try this I am not sure it will fix your problem.
Remove all of the files in the scenario folder in Documents\CEAW Grand Strategy v4.00\data folder in Documents.

IMO GogtheMild's account was on the opposing turn the enemy had a 1 strength unit in Palermo. It made a suicide attack emptying the city. Then the opposing enemy dropped a friendly para on a friendly city, and now Gogthemild is facing a full strength unit. Which in my opinion is a resupply situation...

It comes down to knowing the situation at hand. You can always do air attacks on the para unit to ensure it can not make jump status to have the opponent reinforce the city. The player was trying to resupply his own city with reinforcements. So the para jump would simulate transporting by air to kee...

Yes it was changed in 4.00 that CV's in port have an attack range of 1.

The sub being two hexes away it was out of range.

I do know the hex scale for CNAW is the same as CEAW. I believe designer changed the code for TAC' aircraft to be the artillery units in Commander Napoleon at War.

That is why I did not like the game because artillery had a fantasy distance in 1812 of 100km range for cannon when they did not.
