Re: Arranging MP Game....Interested ?

I plan to publish a regular intelligence and gossip sheet before the first turn and then every 3 turns thereafter from the state of the art Ptolemaic printing presses in the world renowned "Papyrus Spysheet". This will cover the publicly visible major events in game such as declarations of war,conq...

Is there still any place left for another player in the campaign?

It would be great to join the fray ...

First Single Player Playthrough ?

Ok guys. 11th July will finally see the game released. So which nation will be your first playthrough ? In our epic 13 player MP game planned for the 18th I am taking Ptolemaic Egypt so will certainly play a few turns as the Macedonian overlords of Egypt but my first proper playthrough will have to ...

Re: Early Middle Ages: winners post your results here

Division B devoncop (Dailami/Khorasanian allies ) drew with Geffalrus (Polish/Viking Allies) 22% to 40% Early Dailami success in peppering the Polish line rapidly turned into something else entirely as the Viking Huscarls and Polish Lancers drove unstoppably forward...a general retreat was ordered t...

For me, that’s a waste of design energy

Time would be better spent further developing the campaign and in game battle system.

Re: Arranging MP Game....Interested ?

So Gents....we now have a release date of Thursday July 11th. Given most players will be working (though not me as I am happily retired ! ) it seems fairest to have a start date for the MP tournament of Saturday 20th July to give everyone time to get familiar in SP. There will be a 48 hour turnaroun...

Civil wars

It seems that just as they were historically Civil Wars are a big deal in the game with tribal nations (at times of succession) , the Diadochi states and an expansionist early Rome particularly susceptible. If a player loses such a Civil War is that game over or do they continue running the new gove...

Re: Early Middle Ages: winners post your results here

Div B

devoncop (Dailami) beat Youngr (Sassanid Persians) 60% to 31%.

The hilly rocky desert map with a stream through the middle did the Persian Jumbo's no favours at all.

Thanks to Youngr for a great battle against the odds !

Re: Late Antiquity: winners post your results here . . .

Div B

devoncop (Jewish Revolt) beat Morbio (Ptolemaic) 52% to 27%

A complicated broken desert map helped the zealots and helped by a wide flanking movement around the Ptolemaic left the Revolt won the day.

Many thanks to my opponent for a tough fight.

Re: Biblical: winners post your results here . . .

Division B devoncop (Arkanian) beat Lydianed (Lydians) 63% to 48% in a very hard fought contest which revolved around success by the Arkanian flanks managing to capitalise on heroic resistance in the centre by inferior Citizen Hoplites against superior Lydian Hoplite forces. Thanks to my gracious an...

Re: Field of Glory: Empires - Ask Us Anything

Yes that makes perfect sense.

I noticed how much difference it makes in Revenue if you can source needed goods from your own territory for a building rather than having to import it ! Huge difference.

Re: Field of Glory: Empires - Ask Us Anything

're trade goods.....

Love the system by the way but just wondering ....do the value of these goods change from the base value depending on supply and demand ( increasing demand for iron for example) or are the prices fixed ?

Many thanks in advance.
