OK then.
I can follow the reasoning for why it is like it is.

Re: Ship & Unit Names & First Impressions
Yes I can see that. The default class naming is fine as the generic description, but historic individual ship names would add to the immersion. Whilst on the subject of ships though. Shouldn't Destroyers have an AA capability & Cruisers a torpedo ability? I saw in other threads asking for torped...

Re: Support Fire
You can support fire when you attack. You use artilery for demoralized enemy and then you use infanty for attack. But arty will not automatic fire in defend. I think this is correct. You cant use artilery for defend becouse you dont have time direct position and in attack enemy and ally are so clos...

Re: Support Fire
@monkspider.
I get the impression the supressed unit gets progressively more disorganised, reflected in the colour of the unit strength.
Your question of 'How Much' is an interesting one I also would like to see the answer to.

Re: Ship & Unit Names & First Impressions
Thanks.
Whilst I do love the old reference books, I do think it would be a good idea for the developers to put the historic ship names in though.

Re: Support Fire
How odd.
I thought it would be a no-brainer that artillery would light up in support of a hard pressed dug in unit.

Re: Ship & Unit Names & First Impressions
I realise that, but without a Jane's book to hand I can't remember the historic ship names per class.

Support Fire
OK, like many here, I am coming from a background of Panzer General / Panzer Corps. Whilst there are instances of support fire being seen to be generated, ( usually in respect of AA fire ), the favoured old tactic of putting Artillery behind dug in infantry doesn't seem to generate support fire? Or ...

Ship & Unit Names & First Impressions
Hi, I'm really liking this new release. Others have already mentioned minor gripes about place names & undo buttons. Personally, whilst I really like the animations & sound files, it is giving my mid range computer a hard time. It sets the fans buzzing hard. Could optimisation be improved? S...

Re: Sneak Peek
This is perhaps a small point, but it seems to follow through in each preview video. For me, the scale difference between the land & naval unit models is off. I feel it is not so much the land units are displayed too large, but that the naval units appear relatively too small. Surely they can be...

Entertaining trailer, but really bears no resemblance to Panzer General.

I was under the impression it was to be promoted from a cheat code to a screen option?

Re: Gameplay changes in 1.20
I actually dislike the 'chess' cheat. It is unrealistic & takes away from the gameplay IMO.

On a related note to tmgiles1's recent post.
It would be nice to still have a unit history available, even after the unit has been destroyed.

Re: ***** IMPORTANT: Allied Corps beta 4 *****
Just testing out 1.2 on the original PC.
In the 5th Tutorial, we have a ghost unit.
Sdkfz 10/4 has no line drawing at all & is invisible on deployment.
Very good for stealth

Re: ***** IMPORTANT: Allied Corps beta 4 *****
I agree with Zhivago on this.
Whilst I can see you wish to maintain the series link, it should be in a lower case to Allied Corps.
As it stands, to a casual gamer it would be confusing.

Just noticed that text for desktop shortcut is not keeping step; mine reads 1.20 Beta.
