First impressions ... Afghanistan '11: Logistics tycoon
I've been playing the game for a week or so now, and I have mixed feelings. I love the game in principle, but in practice the logistics aspect is too prominent for me to really enjoy the game. I think some of these aspects need to be streamlined somehow. I spend far too much time in-game going back ...

Re: When might we expect convoys?
I'm assuming since 1.09 was released today without convoys that this is proving a hard feature to implement stably and will be delayed for a while?

When might we expect convoys?
I'm holding off purchasing because I was put off by the supply micro in V65. I understand the dev is working on convoys for A11, which I'm assuming automate resupply missions, so I'm wondering when we might expect this feature to be available.

Re: How tedious are logistics in this game?
I really liked the Vietnam game, but eventually put it aside after a few plays because I found the logistics mechanics quite tedious after a while. Sure, it's realistic, but it's boring. The dev mentioned that this was going to be streamlined in Afghanistan, but from the video it is hard to tell if...

Re: How does the surrender mechanism work?
Well, answered my own question: capture Paris, hit next turn, then run another turn and the surrender offer is made.

How does the surrender mechanism work?
Hi, I've been messing around with the morale loss France gets when Paris falls as part of some modding I'm doing, but no matter how high I set it I can't trigger a surrender. The parameter is in the game_events.lua, ChangeFactionMorale(france, -[positive integer]), and I've tired a range of numbers,...

How does blockading work?
I couldn't see this in the manual or patch notes or after a search on the forum. Playing CP and under blockade. How has it been created and how do I lift it?

Re: Is the 4x genre stagnating? Join the discussion.
I've been playing 4X games since they were invented, and I've pretty much given up on the genre because of the lack of learning and innovation. I've got less and less gameplay out of the ones I've bought in the last couple of years, to the point now I just don't buy them. I've got my eye on Polaris ...

What is the actual status of this game?
I'm trying to decipher from the forum what is going on with this game. Is the new version released or not? I find the posts mentioning different version releases confusing - are these referring to the beta? Is it an open beta? I saw a post saying that you can use the serial number from the original ...

Re: Anniversary Coupons
Hi guys, a slight clarification. The registration date is take in this priority: 1. The date you registered for the Matrix members area. 2. If you never registered for the Matrix members area, the date you registered for the Matrix forum. 3. If you never did either of the above then the date you re...

Re: Unable to run mod campaigns
Looks like our posts crossed over here. I tried your suggestion of moving the scenarios out of the mod folder's scenarios subfolder into the My Games/ .../Scenarios folder (it's actually not called that on the Mac - the game installs the folder into the Home directory and not the games folder) and n...

Re: Unable to run mod campaigns
Update: What I've done now is create a dummy mod that exactly replicates the Battle of Britain directory structure but substituting out the contents from the BoB folders with the content from the vanilla campaign. The mod was recognised and ran although none for the objectives text for the Pearl Har...

Re: Unable to run mod campaigns
Regarding a problem with a specifc mod it's better to contact the mod creator, as we at support don't test mods. @VPaulus: At the moment I'm unable to get any mod to run, including the template Churchill mod provided by the developer (the BoB mod works, however, as I mentioned). I don't think this ...

Re: Unable to run mod campaigns
Thanks for the replies. I've raised this with technical support as suggested, but in the meantime I'm still trying to resolve this on my own. @Erik: The only thing I want to mod is the vanilla campaign's structure and add a few scenarios, not change any other parameters of the game. Which directory ...

Unable to run mod campaigns
Hi, I'm unable to get the mod campaigns to run. Battle of Britain works fine, but the Churchill mod doesn't run. It appears on the mod selection screen (alongside BoB and the vanilla campaign), but when I select it the screen just goes black and it doesn't launch (although I can still see the cursor...

Doing something dumb with campaign mods?
When I launch the game I can't see my campaign mods appearing on the mod selection screen. I'm using the (on the Mac) <home>/Order of Battle Pacific/Mods folder, and creating a new folder for the mod there and putting the "campaign" and "scenarios" folder in that, as per the Batt...

Achieving secondary objectives after primary
I had a quick look at the manual and on the boards, but couldn't see this: do the scenarios always automatically end when all the primary objectives are captured? I had plenty of time on the clock and some secondaries to achieve but the game ended when I took the last primary.
