Re: Is there a chance of a river crossing map in an update
Fords are pretty common in my experience, a bigger issue is when a river on the map doesn't have any fords, although that is not very common. It is mildly entertaining when ones opponent places some units on the smaller part of the map and only realises there are no fords after the game starts! :tw...

Re: Classical Antiquity: winners post your results here . . .
Division A Morbio - Roman (105-25 BC) with Numidian/Moorish (55 BC-6 AD) allies beats Triarii - Jewish (64BC-6AD) with Roman (105BC-25BC) allies 66-36 A lot of moving for position to start with until the lines engaged at east-west instead of the normal north-south. The Roman army had a slight lead a...

Re: The Rally Point (discussion and questions)
Can you provide an example of troops rallying out of sight of the main battlefield and therefore causing their entire army to rally? Any battle between 3000 BC and 1500 AD will do. I know of two offhand. Battle of Magnesia (Romans vs Seleucids). Livy describes Seleucid cavalry breaking the Roman le...

Re: The Trouble With Chain Tribal Horde Rebellions
I'm opposed to any scripted solutions, e.g. no death within n turn... or must be same family, etc. History wasn't like that, sometimes a leader died and then there would be a series of leaders in a short period as they fought, assassinated, or whatever to establish supremacy (consider the history of...

Re: Bugs With Transations Since Update This Morning
Third Bug (no screenshot) is that I have units with improved armour but there is no icon on the unit card. I suspect this is because these units had the armour upgrade before the update and there is no retrospective assignment of the icon. Yes, not a bug. I'll see why you can now duplicate the send...

Re: Total War
Well played. I do think it's a major weakness of the game's diplomacy that you can so easily buy key regions off of the AI, often for merely two or three times that region's per turn income. In my first campaign, I destroyed Macedonia by gradually buying all of their cities. I do this too, so no sh...
