Re: State of the Game - Oct 19th 2015

2.0 will be "soon" - really can't put a precise date on it yet, but it will be in the next few weeks.

Early Access will be completed sometime next year.

Re: A suggestions thread

Corruption and inefficiency are covered by the diminishing returns you get on income as provinces get further away from your capitol - increasing the cost of upgrading, or reducing the income, at the end of the day will both decrease the return on investment - doing both at once would probably make ...

Re: Send Report does not work

Windows firewall does not usually block outgoing traffic, so it has no reason to ask you to allow it - by default it already is. Issues with the error reporting system are usually server-side - I don't have access to that server right now to fix the problem. I'm not too worried about it, once the ne...

I think that spell is supposed to notify you that the units were killed - so maybe there is a bug there...

Re: Ravenguard Bug

The upcoming update should render these issues irrelevant, but we will keep an eye open for them just to be safe. Regarding the custom created unit, could be a problem with the unit data, or could be a problem with the game - very hard to say for sure with mods. Have you ever seen anything similar h...

Re: Sovereignty - Crown of Kings

The game is currently steam only, but once it leaves Early Access there will be a non-steam version as well (sometime in 2016).

Re: neutral capturing my province without war

It is a legitimate mechanic, but seems to have missed out a step. It works as follows: An enemy occupies one of your provinces A neutral AI, who is also at war with your enemy, attacks the enemy The neutral AI wins the fight then, the neutral AI must choose to either give you back the province (libe...

Re: Map Splitter Issue

Definitely sounds like some sort of bug. The files do have to be a specific size in order for them to work. The purple nation borders are generated automatically from the province meshes (as created in the Province Mesh Editor tool) - these meshes tell the game where the province lies, and the edges...

Re: My MOD project

That cannot be changed in the current version, it's a hardcoded effect.

Effects like this one and other realm-specific rules which are currently hardcoded will be opened up to change via scripts in the 2.0 update.

Re: crashing

Well, i don't think we'll be putting out another patch before the 2.0 update, but as stated, it will be big on stability improvements, unfortunately it will also not be save-compatible with older saved games. There is defiitely something going on there with battles though.. possibly with the attack/...

Re: My MOD project

I don't have a detailed list on hand, i'll try to find some time to write one. The income value of provinces is set in the game code, not in the sov_charts, and is set to 150 x province economy x distance modifier. Interesting idea though, to have different realms with different levels of income lik...

Re: crashing

Well, as it says, you ran out of memory - how much memory does your PC have? Assuming it has enough, then if it was a one-off, it may just be that the game was running for a long time (even a tiny memory leak can build up if left for enough hours) - if this is a consistent error, then we probably ne...

Re: My MOD project

A single mod can have only a single sov_charts.xml file.

I'll look into the sov_text issue, maybe it fails to load the modded one properly.
