Taking into account that remakes the game engine, new concepts could be implemented.
For example:
Giving more importance to economic and resource management. It could be done so that the player had to spend part of their production to meet the needs of the civilian population, not just military needs.

After each battle could show not only low but also prisoners. That would create a new level of management, having to devote a portion of production to keep prisoners of war, or offer exchanges via the Red Cross.

It would also be interesting to a replay or a message informed of developments have occurred in the previous turn.
