The Scenario Design forum is a forum dedicated to mission design and ideas. It's easy to begin building missions using the in-game editor, and we hope everyone will give it a try.

If you have any questions, this is the place to put them to the team. Or share ideas and tips on how to create great custom missions, and enjoy the admiration of your peers!

Tips

Trees and Bushes

Trees and bushes by themselves do not offer cover or block line of sight. Use the objects named Tree Blocking and Bush Blocking at a rate of at least one per square to block LOS. For a large area you may place the blocking objects around the perimeter and fill in the center with normal objects.
Note that in desert objects, Palm Tree without a number is blocking.
To provide cover, use forest terrain or rough overlay.


Walls

Walls do not block vehicle movement. Avoid placing them on the same tile as a building. To make them impassable, use hedgerow or place an impassable tile or overlay.


Hedgerow

Hedgerow blocks line of sight subject to rules. Troops cannot see through them if more than one square away. Once adjacent to the hedgerow, the troops can see through the hedgerow and are in cover. However troops over one square can see the opposing unit once it exposes itself. Vehicles cannot see through them except when an enemy unit exposes itself.


Bridges

When using multiple spans of bridge sections, make sure that the tooltip displays road. Gaps over water can make the bridge impassable.
