Bacon! More Bacon! Trophies!

Post by madaxeman » Sun Jan 25, 2015 6:02 pm

The last event of 2014, and the Early Danes get yet another outing at FoGR down by the banks of the Thames in sunny (cold and dark) Reading.

Image

In four thrilling match reports theytake on everyone in the world, from the Indians to the English, all whilst doing their very best to shoehorn references to bacon and Carlsberg into the narrative at every opportunity....and end up doing surprisingly well !

Lots of pictures, some barely-relevant YouTube videos and some very odd things to buy from Amazon as well all grace the reports - so, grab yourself some pancakes and maple syrup, pull up a chair and dig in!

Hi Tim,

excellent reports as usual and many congrats on toppling the big A. But I'm afraid that in revealing the secret of your success I will finally break FoGR:

Bourbon(!)Bacon(!!)Jam(!!!):

Combines three essential ingredients for successful wargaming - booze, coronary inducing food and luck.

Forget Horse-meisters, now everyone will use Danish armies!

Cracking reports and a Great Victory to boot.

The Henricians looked very nicely painted.

So are the cavalry all classed as "trotters"?

Brendan: I'm afraid I was the Mughal player :( but Tim did kindly get our game done in 1 1/2hrs, including setup so I could have plenty of time to look round the rest of the show :)
