I can also advise that the Oxford Round of the Southern League will be on Sunday 27th April 2014 at Wolvercote Village Hall, in North West Oxford.
As Don said more details as soon as next years competition is decided.

Re: Southern League 2014
Been given some thought to what periods we could run next year in the Southern league especially taking account of MVT comments. We could have one round that is foot only armies while a second could be mounted only armies in which we could exclude those with pistol impact and pistol melee. I am sure that there is enough alternatives to give everyone a choice and a good days playing.

Bob,
Details will be released at the weekend.

This is roughly what we did at Clevedon last year and we will be doing again next year. We also excluded any pike and musket foot.second could be mounted only armies in which we could exclude those with pistol impact and pistol melee

Re: Southern League 2014
Don,
Last year there were foot in the armies used at Clevedon. I am suggesting no foot at all.

Re: Southern League 2014
Guys,
I think I said this is roughly what we did last year.
Last year we had no pistol armed cavalry and no pike and shot. The majority of the armies where bow or lance armed cavalry and warrior foot.
We will be doing the same next year.

Don,
Tom and I will definitely be coming. I am waiting on Ben and Jerry (great ice cream) to make their decision.

Count me in for a place please - or would you prefer an email to book?

Re: Southern League 2014
Any idea if there is going to be a Southampton round of the league this year? I only ask because last year it was announced in November 2012 and we are now in January.
Re: Southern League 2014
We also need to know the date of the London round.
Re: Southern League 2014
Are the rounds Clevedon, Oxford, Southampton, London and Milton Keynes?

Re: Southern League 2014
I would prefer July for London as I already have commitments for June.
