Dear all,

Our plans for next year include our usual Southern league 15mm Sunday on 29th April (ECW again unless anyone feels violently opposed) and a 25mm FOGR open event on Sunday 30th October.

Details of both to follow but please put dates in the diary and let me know if anyone is aware of any dire clashes. Also grateful for initial indications of interest.

Tom

Hi Tom,

I'm up for the ECW. I also want to do the 25mm in October, the 30th is a Tuesday so obviously not the correct date. Please advise the correct date.

regards Dene

Dene,

thanks for spotting this and for interest in attending both events.

Interested in both, however, it'll be a lot closer to the events before I can say for sure I'm afraid.

Hi Tom

Happy New year to you and all FOG-R's at OWS and elsewhere!

Just going through the 2018 calendar now and the 15m ECW on 29 April currently looks good for me; wont know for sure until nearer the time.

thanks
David(B)

Hi Tom,

I won’t be able to attend. I’ll be on the other side of the world in Melbourne

Simon have you decided to join Ben?

Are you his boss or assistant?

Dear all,

herewith details for the 29th April event at Oxford.

Rules for the 2018 Oxford Round of the FOG R Southern League
29th April 2018
Wolvercote Village Hall, Wolvercote Green, Oxford, Oxon, OX2 8BD

Armies will be 800 points and must be one of the following:-
• Early Caroline English,
• Scots Covenanter,
• Scots Royalist,
• Confederate Irish,
• Early ECW Royalist,
• ECW Parliamentarian,
• Later ECW Royalist,
• New Model Army.
The rules for the competition will be as used recently at BADCON. If anyone does not have these already I can send out relevant files in response to email requests (t.elsworth@btopenworld.com).
In addition
• Each player can elect to move one item of the pre-set terrain. After selecting which item of terrain they want to move the player rolls a D6 and can move the terrain as follows: -
1 = up to 3”
2 and 3 = up to 6”
4 = up to 9”
5 = up to 12” or pivot
6 = remove the terrain
The normal pre-game initiative will take place. The player winning the initiative may either choose to move first or select which side of the table they want to play from.
Selecting to move first means your opponent gets the choice of table side and moves second.
Otherwise you choose which side of the table you think is better for you and your opponent moves first.
Obviously who ever moves first also has to deploy first.
Timetable for the games: -
• 1st Round 9.00am to 11.30am
15 minute break
• 2nd Round 11.45am to 2.15pm
15 minute break
• 3rd Round 2.30pm to 5.00pm
• Prize giving
Army lists to me please at email above by 22nd April

Any questions??

Tom
