Oxford competitions 2020
Feedback please on the 2019 events and format.
Ideas for 2020??
I suggest one less day in Oxford in view of the new event at Roll Call. We will ensure no duplication of theme.
Also suggest that we institute an overall winner for our 4 events - highest best 3 scores gets free entry to 2021?
I think 25mm possibly has to remain open but would welcome other ideas.

Re: Oxford competitions 2020
The only period I have a problem with is the late one, as I have no armies and hence why I missed it this year.
I thought all the themes were very good, so I would suggest running with the same ones.
As Roll Call is a long way for me to go, it would suit me best if the late period was then.
An overall winner and annual trophy is a great idea.

I'm happy to take an existing pre-tested theme for Roll Call if someone has one already

Tim,
Roll Call are doing armies and enemies of late Ottomans so suggest you go with Western Europe 1660 to 1700 (exclude north African options and eastern Europe options therefore).
We would do ECW, 25mm open and two others possibly 1500 to 1599 in Europe and none European/colonial

Re: Oxford competitions 2020
We are into our third year of an internal club FOGR competition that runs the whole twelve months. If you win you get the "Renaissance Cup" which is a small silver trophy engraved with the winners name to keep until the next year!
So yes give a trophy!

9th February clashes with Godenbag in Cardiff, so think you will need to look at another date.

Don points out that Sunday Feb 9 clashes with Godendag.
How about March 8 instead - any thoughts?

New to FoGR, and waiting with anticipation for your dates. Might be wrong but I believe BADCON in Burton is on 8th and 9th of Feb as well as Godendag. Might explain low early entry levels for Cardiff!
