Panzer Corps Tournament 2020

Post by goose_2 »

2018 is here and I am eager to get started with the all new, all exciting Panzer Corps Campaign Tournament 2018.

Sign Ups are now closed

Information that I need to know.
1) Your screen name
2) Your real name
3) Where you live
4) Your email address

Minimum Requirements to participate:
1 and only 1. You must own the vanilla, or basic, or first version of Panzer Corps. (The one with the standard Campaign where you play as the Germans)

There is no limit to the number of participants I will take on this one, just need to have your sign up by Friday February 2nd, 2018 so I can compile the list of participants and set up the 1st Round matches.

What you can expect:
To play a paired game against another player, starting with Poland, of course.
To get about 2 weeks to complete your scenario.
Start of First match ups on February 5th, 2018.

We will be playing through the generic Campaign of the historical scenarios for this Tournament.
Starting in Poland, then Norway, then Low Countries...and so on... (Start practicing now)
I will try to pair up matches, at least based on the first Round, based on your location only.

A person will need to lose 3 times before they officially are eliminated from the Tournament.

How do you win a scenario?
Winning conditions will be based on the following:
1) Who wins the match up first. IE: You are playing your opponent and you get the last victory Objective on Turn 12, they do it on Turn 13 You win because you were faster.

2) If you both win on the same day, then it will be determined based on who has the most 2ndary Objectives. IE: You both win on Turn 12, but you have 4 2ndary Objectives and your opponent has only 3. You win because you took over and held more stuff.

3) If you both win on the same day and have the same number of 2ndary Objectives. It will come down to who ends with the most prestige to determine the winner. IE: You both win on the same day and with same number of objectives taken, but you have 500 in prestige and they have 499, you win because of your asset management.

I hope this makes sense.

I am so looking forward to this and unlike last time I will be participating in this campaign as I am letting you know up front what the scenarios will be so we can all have the same level of preparation.

Any questions or comments please post here or private message me.

Blessings on your Campaigns Herr Generals.
(So Excited)

We hope to top and even surpass the success of the 2017 Championship, so don't be afraid and sign up, especially because there will be nice prizes to win ;)

Hello. I have never participated in a Panzer Corps tournament. How can the campaign scenarios be played head to head? Aren't they balanced for single player vs. the AI, since they are single player campaign scenarios?

Have signed up via email and am very excited to once again participate in this tournament.
I like the campaign approach for this one especially. The new rules seem very good as well.

Hey. They will be paired matches, so there shouldn't be balance issues. It means that for instance in the Poland scenario, two players will play two different games playing both factions once.

As of right now I have 36 Official Sign Ups, it has just been 24 hours since this post.

36

That is outstanding, beyond even my wild expectations.

I am super excited at the prospect of breaking that 3rd digit and get 100 participants.

OH MY GOODNESS!!!

What if we doubled the record set last time of 64 participants? 128!!!!!!

Settle down, my heart is skipping beats, settle down big fella, settle down...

I will take it one sign up at a time.

Your enthusiasm for this is contagious!

I'm almost enticed to join in, but unfortunately I'm too scared of losing (too competitive). It's been too long since PzC and I've been playing OOB too much these days (can't be bothered to re-learn the nitty-gritty of PzC again as the games differ substantially albeit the superficial similarities).

Good luck to everyone! Goose, try not to reduce your opponents to tears in the first 5 turns at least.

With Triple elimination you would be crazy not to join as you are guaranteed at least to play first 3 matches, you will probably win at least 1. ;)
And your last comment, but that is what brings me joy reducing my opponents to tears, but as of late I am the one crying as too many good players are now in the community. ;)

I love seeing this much enthusiasm for my favorite and almost only game
