My reasoning for wanting to being his choice is so I can learn how this multiplay feature works from an expert. Also to learn from his play. I have experience in FoG II & Mare Novstrvm & am looking forward to this new challenge. However, I am not opposed to being paired vs anyone. I will not be offended if he chooses you Striped_Soul. :)

I am having an issue with MP and windows 10 crashing during after action report giving me a blue circle. As a result, I need to re-download. Slitherine doesnt respond but asks why I need to download. I posted on Steam PG board as well. Help.

Hello Alex,

Sorry for this, but normally when a customer asks to redownload we just tell them how to do so, so sorry for any other reply you might have received. You can download games and patches manually from the Member's Area provided they are registered to the account. Please see the forum post below which explains how to do this:

Goose_2,

What happens if both me and my opponent fail to secure a victory as the German player in a specific scenario? For example, in Poland, what if both when I'm playing as the Poles and when my enemy plays as the Poles after switching teams we are able to prevent the other player from scoring even a minor victory? ;)

Cheers,

NightPhoenix

Than you will be transported back in time...I think somewhere warm, so it should be nice.

As I understand the conditions of the tournament, in that case both players scored a win for the allies and it comes down to secondary objectives. A draw is not possible!

Ok after careful consideration and consultation with myself, ;).

If by the off chance that you lose as the Germans and your opponent loses as the Germans, which I doubt will happen, but if it does...because it may happen in Low Countries for sure, that can be a toughie.

So...If both opponents lose as the Germans, than it will come down to how much territory the Germans were able to maintain.
Starting with Primary Objectives:

1) You have 3 Primary and your opponent has 2 Primary...You win.
If those are the same...
2) It will then come down to 2ndary Objectives. You and your opponent both have 2 Primary Objectives, but you have 1 2ndary and your opponent has none. You win.
If those are the same...
3) If those end up being the same, the 3rd condition will be a little different, it will come down to how many surviving units you have on the map, not prestige.
So, you have 2 Primary and your opponent has 2 Primary and you both have no 2ndary Objectives, but you have 5 units remaining, 4 infantry and 1 tank, and your opponent has 4, 2 tanks and 2 inf...you win.

Does that make sense?

I am working on sending a list in an email, pm , and posting here of all the confirmed signed up participants.

Total # signed up is at 136. We did it. We are the biggest Tournament ever, and more than twice last years numbers.

You guys are amazing! :D :D :D

Let me know if this looks ok.

Got the email about matchups. However, the formatting (at least on mine) doesn't show me who my opponent is accurately. I don't know who to offer the challenge to.

Is there a format issue or something? So we know whom we fight?

THanks!

Excited to get the action underway!

Round 1 Poland

Post by goose_2 » Mon Feb 05, 2018 2:10 am

Fitting that we start on the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Stalingrad. But for this Tournament we will be starting in Poland of course. ;)
Players on the left set up the match.
Issue a Challenge:
Poland
Paired Match, put your players name in the description
you need to click undo off (The system has a glitch and does not show undo as selected off, but it should be set up that way)
set the password as:
tournament

Players on the right go into multiplayer Accept Challenge, find your opponent, name to the left, type in the password,
Play your German turn

Players should be playing both sides subsequently and you will have until Friday, February 16th, 2018 to complete your match so I can set up Round 2. (Norway)

Again the Rules for winning:

How do you win a scenario?
Winning conditions will be based on the following:
1) Who wins the match up first. IE: You are playing your opponent and you get the last victory Objective on Turn 12, they do it on Turn 13 You win because you were faster.

2) If you both win on the same day, then it will be determined based on who has the most 2ndary Objectives. IE: You both win on Turn 12, but you have 4 2ndary Objectives and your opponent has only 3. You win because you took over and held more stuff.

3) If you both win on the same day and have the same number of 2ndary Objectives. It will come down to who ends with the most prestige to determine the winner. IE: You both win on the same day and with same number of objectives taken, but you have 500 in prestige and they have 499, you win because of your asset management.

Let me know if there are any questions.
I am super excited about this and if we run into people that are unable to participate I have received requests from at least one player who would be willing to jump in, so I am sure there may be more, waiting in the wings.

Blessings on your matches! So excited. :D

Goose_2,

I see everybody playing with undo ON, but you want us to not be able to undo our movements right? I'm slightly confused here. The box was already ticked while setting up the game, which means that you will be allowed to undo your moves.
