Torch
In the Mediterranean, the operation continues against the British Navy and we do not stop the transport of troops to Africa.
Command strongly dissatisfied with the low efficiency of the Luftwaffe. But this is largely due to bad weather.

Our damaged ships are returning to bases.
The remaining fleet is trying to cover the transports.

Another reconnaissance, of Tobruk, this time only by aviation.
We managed to buy several units here.

By this time, I did not know how further actions would take place, and I considered Tobruk as a base for an offensive in the Middle East.
Therefore, it was necessary to defend it. Here I could buy units and make upgrades.

Loss Ratio:

For comparison:
Previous Loss analysis data (t=35)
Previous Extended Loss analysis data (t=25)

Loss statistics are compared with this pair game.
---

The general trend of the loss ratio has become smoother.

In this game, I have slightly improved the ratio of losses in tanks.
The ratio in infantry and fighters has become a little worse.
In the fighters due to the success of the British over France.
But there is also an improvement on losses in bombers.

---
Compare the losses per Axis in this game and this one.

Losses are comparable, with the exception of my still big losses in tanks, almost twice as much as McGuba.
McGuba also has bomber losses twice as much as I do.

Compare the losses per Allies in this game and this one.

I have a little less loss in the infantry.
But losses in the fleet are almost twice as large as those of McGuba.
As well as for the Axis, here I lose less bombers than McGuba.

It is interesting that in the game for the Allies due to the weakness of the Soviet fighters aircraft, I concentrate on the hunt for Axis bomber and this is reflected in these statistics.
It is also obvious that due to my big losses for the Axis, I have more free slots.

Strategic Analysis - Results of 1942

West
Despite several breakthroughs of submarines on the way of convoys to the Atlantic, it should be recognized that the protection of the routes of convoys from the Allies is very effective.
And we have big losses among submariners. The submarine use strategy should be reviewed.

Although we were able to bring Tirpitz to Trondheim with almost no losses, the annoying raid of an American bomber showed how helpless we are agains air attacks.
And we should strengthen the defense. Although we do not have any resources for this.

The Mediterranean
Although we were able to take Tobruk, we did not have enough strength for further progress.
And the Allies managed to keep their fleet. Which they now freely use against us in Operation Torch.
Strongly interfering with the transportation of our troops to North Africa.

As for North Africa, we are determined to win here.
Despite the overwhelming superiority of the Allies in the navy, we decided to concentrate large aviation forces in the Mediterranean.
Especially strategic bombers that can be used to fight the enemy fleet. Our strategy was to use air superiority in a few turns (3-5) to inflict heavy losses on the enemy in the fleet.
Thus, it will neutralize the threat to our fleet and transports.
But because of the weather, it was not possible yet.
As for Tobruk, he was needed as a base for the further offensive in Egypt.
But because of the delay in Russia, the troops for this have not yet been freed and have not arrived.

East
This year, we generally achieved the campaign goals.
Captured Leningrad, Stalingrad and the Caucasus.
At this point, I thought that without these cities the Soviets would lose their reinforcements.
But they could not capture secondary targets - Arkhangelsk in the north and Kuibyshev. Also a big delay occurred in the city of Gorky.
In general, moving East is very slow and delayed.
By this time, a third or more of the troops, according to the original plan, were to be free and begin to transfer to North Africa and Tobruk.
But this did not happen.
So the strategic plan for 1943 will have to be changed.
Also, there is a huge amount of Soviet aviation with which our small fighter aircraft cannot cope.
Considering that the operation in Russia is close to completion, the Expeditionary Corps was also sent to Iraq in accordance with the original plan.

Economy
Despite receiving a boost of prestige due to the seizure of Leningrad, the Caucasus, Stalingrad.
We have a big lack of prestige. The resulting prestige was immediately spent on replenishing losses. But it was not possible to make up for the losses significantly.
Also in 1943, a heavy air campaign is expected in the West with Allied aircraft, which are expected to attempt to destroy our industrial potential further reducing prestige.
Also, an operation in North Africa will require a lot of prestige.
Without additional sources in the form of oil of the Middle East will be very difficult.

But if we manage to quickly finish with the Soviets.
Transfer troops to the West or the Mediterranean.
Get oil from the Middle East.
Perhaps we would be able to compensate for the great losses in units especially in the tanks and to resist the Allies in the West.

This is a very optimistic plan.
My strategy was more defensive.
But if it is possible to destroy the enemy in battle, then it was possible to advance and occupy the whole of North Africa.

Seems others have been able to pull it off. Will be hard fought, but it's possible. Guess you have to make sure the British don't break out via Egypt.
Will hour attack from Russia be able to distract the British in Egypt?

Maybe, however there might also be a difference in playing against the AI vs. playing against a human. In addition, the different versions of BE are not fully comparable (to each other) due to constant development/evolution...

Yes, this is the first multiplayer game in the global mod(how much i know).
But I would be very interested to look at other AARs.

This mod offers many 'story' options.

Turn 41. Strategic Plan
February 12, 1943
Weather: Clear and Frozen

Strategic Plan
Due to delays in the East, timings are recalculated.
But overall, the plan has remained unchanged since 1941. :!:

The Soviets have 4 VPs left.
Kuibyshev, Ulyanovsk and Arkhangelsk and Sevastopol.
The Сommand believes that the Soviets are already receiving little reinforcements, because large centers have already been captured.
Therefore, the goal of the 1943 campaign in the East is the elimination of these nodes of resistance.
Further, as our troops are released, they will be sent to Germany for an upgrade or immediately to Tobruk or Tripoli. According to the operational situation.

In the Middle East, our expeditionary plans to seize oil and then move to the Middle East as far as possible.
At the same time, if the operational situation in Tunisia allows,
It is planned to strengthen the group of troops at Tobruk and begin to advance to Cairo in the other direction.
In Tunisia, it is planned to defeat the Americans by constantly strengthening our troops. And then transfer them to Europe by the summer of 1944.

In this case, having oil in the Middle East, the Command believes that it can hold out in Europe against the landing of the Allies.

Yes, there is evidence of the transfer of large-caliber artillery to the area of Kuibyshev.
Also noted a large number of tanks from the Soviets.
It seems to have an advantage in tanks from the Soviets.
We have mostly old tanks PzIII j/1.
Considering that the distances for an upgrade to Germany are too great, we cannot allow us to stop the offensive for half a year.

Turn 42
February 27, 1943
Weather: Clear and Dry

Strategic map
Were analyzed data on the number of enemy troops on the Eastern Front. It turned out that there are a lot of them and more than we expected.
I looked at the reinforcement triggers in the editor. And it turned out that it looks like the Soviets get most of the reinforcement if they have under their control more than 3 VP.
It was a surprise for me. Probably the capture of Leningrad and Moscow somewhat reduced the flow of reinforcements, but not radically.
They continue to receive them(!)
This can be seen in the strong defense of the rivers and in the number of aviation that already exceeds the number of Axis aircraft in the East.

Now the Soviets control the 4 points of victory that they turned into fortresses.
Arkhangelsk near which we have already suffered great losses.
Ulyanovsk and Kuibyshev which covers the river and a lot of the Soviet units.
And Sevastopol, on which so far there have been no serious attacks, however, we suffered some losses there.
Also the Soviets have a short shoulder for the delivery of reinforcements. The reinforcement points are located near the front line and they can immediately enter them into battle.
In our case, the number of troops only decreases because of losses. It is difficult to compensate for these losses.
Reinforcement goes long because of the length of communications. Soviets can do all this without problems.
Now it is a war of exhaustion and for a time.

Our small Expeditionary Corps entered the Middle East and we can no longer return it.
Campaign plan for 1943, now only a plan on paper ...
In general, the strategic situation is now assessed as negative.
