Probably you'll need to have DLC GC' 39 or DLC GC' 40.

Yes, you had to have bought it and installed in Panzer Corps.
But only El_Condoro can say for sure if you need one of them. I think he said that some of the maps were done with 1.04 editor.

I thought I'd read that opening the maps in the 1.11 editor and saving them would guarantee their compatibility with the latest patch? But you're right, this is for El_Condoro to confirm.

I downloaded and extracted the files in the necessary folders.
The map of the first mission lacks vichy french flags in the primary objectives and other cities and ports, a british airfield is lacking near gibraltar. Did i forget something?
The second mission i couldn't start because of "required content package missing".

Confirmed: maps based on AK maps require AK to play. I thought I had sent these to Alex to remove the encrypting but maybe not. Until that is done Maelstrom can't be played without AK.

nikivdd: not sure why your flags are not working. You have uninstalled all other mods before installing Maelstrom?

So it's not the DLC 39 but AK... Alright.

.

No other mods were running but i can always reinstall v1.11 - i do load/unload mods alot with GME. I hope Alex removes the encryption for i don't have AK.
I would suggest to remove the D.520 Vichy plane(s) and replace with the Bloch fighter, provided by Bebro in his unit factory.

Apart from the need to own AK for certain maps to play, it seems the seaborne transport issue at Sicily is the main game-breaker.

Can anyone confirm that this problem - as reported by Shrike - is a general problem that they are having, too, please? It would help with troubleshooting. Cheers

For the record: I do have AK and all DLC's installed except for the '45 east one, with my game version patched to v1.11. The seaborne issue on Sicily happened both with and without GME for mod loading.

For those who have been asking about versions and DLCs required: this is to confirm that, as of this post, you DO need to be patched to version 1.11 and have Afrika Korps installed. The installation process that worked during my last test was version 1.00 to Afrika Korps (1.10) to 1.11. I have not tested with DLC West but I assume it would be OK as that is version 1.11. I am trying to have the AK encryption removed but so far have not.

Hi Shrike. I'm sorry but I have tested all sorts of things and have not been able to replicate the Sicily landing barge problem you described. If you have the time can you try a clean install of PzC (to a new and separate location?) using the process in the thread above and see if it recurs, please? As in the first post, make sure all other mods are disabled, too. The only other thing I could think of it a corrupted scn file but I can't test that, of course. I have included a link to just the Sicily scenario files to test that theory. :)

Just dl-ed it. I haven't AK yet either, since I want the hardcopy which is announced for Nov16 here.

However, I was able to start at Torch, I guess it's a custom map. Also I checked the additional material in the library, very good work and very informative. I'm looking forward to play the full cam...

Played Torch. Just two q's:

1. Was there anything supposed to trigger when you get the French guy to his destination (I don't want to go into detail any more to avoid spoilers)

2. Is the German flag in the top right corner of the map ok, or just a leftover (I noticed I misplace sometimes stuff in the editor myself).

Otherwise very nice, we really need more Allied campaigns :)
But yeah, I got the same "missing content" msg when trying to play further, so I have to wait until I got AK.

Hi Bebro,

Unfortunately, Kasserine and Tunisia are based on AK map content, which is why you can't get get further.

1. Yes - you need to take the 3 main objectives (Casablanca, Oran and Algiers) quickly (within 4 turns) and have Darlan in Algiers. The trigger helps with taking the final objective.
2. The Luftwaffe turns up at the end. As we know, if they don't have an airfield somewhere, they just hover. The airfield is meant to represent off-map airfields in Sicily etc.

Glad you liked it so far. Cheers.

You've got mail :) The good news: no more immobile sea transports in Sicily. I don't know why my setup was causing this problem, because I had no other active mods installed, just AK and the DLC's. If anyone has trouble, I recommend to install AK right after you install the base game and only then install the DLC's if you have any. Check out the Generic Mod Enabler and how to install it properly: viewtopic.php?p=250799.

Ah of course I understand :)

Just if anyone is interested, there might be a way to create near-invisible airfields, but it requires some work.

You need to set up an extra country. It should be possible make their flag invisible by filling its gfx with the transparent PNG color and change the mask of that pic accordingly. I guess it could be done by using an unneeded stock nation, but one has to make sure it is unable to buy unwanted units then.

Then in the editor declare this country allied to side 1 or 2, set up an airfield with this flagwhere you want, and put an overlay on top to hide the airfield gfx. I have not tested it, but it should be invisible due to the transparent flag and terrain overlay, and the side allied with it should be able to use it normally.

The only thing you can't hide this way is the airfield icon on the minimap (unless you hide all airfields).

Dunno if anyone considers this worth the hassle, but I thought I just share it.

After playing through the campaign both going the italian and the D-day route, I can't wait to play the (to be linked) Red dawn sequel with my saved core :D You did a brilliant job El Condoro! If anyone is looking for an allied campaign with minute detail to historical accuracy and lots of background information, you can't go wrong with Maelstrom. Oh, and don't worry too much if you can't keep your core slots filled. I played through the campaign always being a couple of units short every scenario and still managed well enough.
