1- Submarine trait doesnt work and it seems the developer team will not fix it, so no new features in this aspect. Naval warfare will be a little bit boring regarding subs.
2- AFV are not implemented like scouts. The recon class will be renamed AFV or something like that, recon units will included in different classes, ie: F-16, BMP-1K, etc. Most of the nations will have armored transports and conventional trucks for their infantry units.
Thank you for the answers!

I've tried the demo and noticed that IFVs inherited all recon traits, including multi-part movement and more noticeably, ignore of enemy ZOCs. Is it planned, or changes in the final release of the mod? Too much advantage to the IFVs imo.

I had some ideas about the IFVs myself:

1. Each IFV is a transport like APC or trucks, so it can mount/dismount some infantry units that can utilize it if purchased
2. But each IFV has additional non-purchaseable variant activated by swith unit mode button.
3. This mode assumes that IFV acts alongside with its infantry and directly supports it. So in this mode it moves like infantry (naturally, leg movement not tracked), have somewhat better attack values (infantry weapons used too) and +1 close defence.

This concept as I think may reflect the main difference between IFVs and pure infantry carriers: IFVs are designed to conduct combat in close interaction with the infantry they carry.

So each IFV may:
- dismount infantry ang be left behind a battle like other transport in the game (when attacking heavily defended city hex for example)
- mount infantry, rapidly move, attack and defend like armoured vehicle
- attack lightly defended positions or supressed units in special IFV mode

What do you think?

I cannot embark US troopers back to Black Hawk helicopter in the demo. Is it designed to be so?

Hello Glaude.
I can confirm you that I will upload a BETA version before christmas for sure (half of the NATO campaign)
The full version will take more time as I am working hard on the UI and some missing units.... also my motivation is not as high as some months ago.

If the Beta has good reception from the community I will try to re double my efforts.

best regards,
Akkula.

Hello guys, in the next days I will upload the first beta version of this mod. I will list some considerations to keep in mind, as this is not a finished work yet:

- NATO Campaign: first half available. Some scenarios will be improved in the future.
- Briefings: I plan to add more life to the briefing to give the "feel" of a WW3. So far you will have the classical plain text explaining what to do.
- UI: lot of work to be done. So dont be surprised if you find some inconsistencies.
- Units: some units need to be improved or even reworked. Also a lot of new ones will be added in the final version.
- Heroes: no hero pics so far. And the names template is the vanilla one. I will try to improve that in future updates.
- Medals: medals for France and Poland not ready yet.
- Animations: some anims (very few) are missing. I will try to fix that.
- Units Stats: a big one here. As were as speaking of hundred of new units from a completely different era, it is inevitable that you will find many unbalances, do not hesitate to report them.

I count on you guys, I hope most of you can send me some feedback in order to improve this project. Just report ANYTHING you find, everything helps... this is a total conversions from the base game so I think I have a lot of work ahead.

Thanks in advance and stay tuned!.

Best regards,
Akkula.

I'm quite good at proof reading if you want a hand. Briefings are harder work than they look.

Akkula. Thank you for the beta. I'd recommend to designate somewhat different versions of planes on the purchase screen, e.g. F-16C Air, F-16C Strike, F-16C Recon. Now it's difficult to differentiate between aircrafts with the same name.

The difference between F-16C in attack and antiair configuration seems too low, the plane in whole almost useless against ground targets despite the fact that F-16C is actually a multirole fighter with the vast arsenal of A to G minutions, including the precise ones. It should be reflected in stats in my opinion, because in modern times fighters can be deadly to the ground targets in much bigger grade when in WWII. In whole I still don't have too much feel about the modern warfare in the mod, the concept hasn't changed too much from the vanilla WWII style.

As for the IFVs, they should have higher antitank abilities imo.

Yup, I know that. But so far I couldnt figure it out how to solve that "issue". Is very frustrating :?

I didnt want to give some much ground attack power for multipurpose fighter as the helicopters should be the real "killers" of grounds units. My idea for the F-16 (and related) was to give them some ground attack capabilities with a decent air defense ability, in other words, a soft killer unit with no need to be escorted by other fighters.
Regarding the IFV I will watch carefully how to balance them without transforming them in tanks with amazing mobility.

Thanks for you feedback!.

best regards,
Akkula.

Maybe do make them simply transports, the most powerful and costly ones? Nowadays the difference between IFVs and APCs may be minor. For example, even in your mod I can see the polish Rosamak as APC(transport) and IFV(sole unit), but the difference between these vechicles not so much.

Another example^ new russian tracked Kurganets fighting vechicle that will be produced both in APC and IFV variants and the latter will be differ only in the armament (with gun/ATGM battle module installed). So the difference betweein IFVs and APcs may be somewhat artifical. The real units that utilize IFVs at the end are still infantry and may fight without their transport too.

Also I would propose to think about еhe UAVs in the mod. These may be implemented as relatively cheap air recon unit with high GroundDefense and moderate AirDefense to make their destruction somewhat difficult without serious fighter or SAM assets. The strike UAVs also may have limited ground attack ability. The strategic UAVs such as GlobalHawi may have the huge fule value and great Recon.
