Capturing Map Entry Points

Post by DaveDee »

Really enjoying PITF so far

0ne question that I can't find an answer to concerns map entry points (currently playing as the Germans)

Once you gave secured a map entry point from the Americans (i.e. no US units left in area) do you still need to garrison it

I've left troops holding the US entry points but have yet to fight a battle or have any US forces even try to force their way in via my captured entry points

Any ideas ?

Happy New Year to everyone

In general, it is a good idea to garrison a map where enemy reinforcements can enter. But whether they do enter or not depends on the scenario and the date / time. You can check for scheduled enemy reinforcements by advancing the date / time (in the calendar panel) on the Strategic screen.

Also, if you force an enemy battle group to disband they will re-enter the map the next morning at the off-map entry point nearest where they first started.
