game will not load

downloaded the game fine and at the end of the downolad it requested to install/update 3 files, direct X, .net etc. I allowed it to do all 3 and when it was done another window opened for .net framework saying it was a maintenance thing and it was going to return .net to its original.
I am guessing this is the problem. Every time I try to launch it just opens the error window and wants to report the problem, I sent an original report but every attempt is the same.

I can't get it updated from microsoft since I am not using Explorer and trying to find it with fire fox has not worked so far. Any help in this would be appreciated thanks.

What is your Windows version? Are you login to Windows as administrator?

good news is I got the original game to load finally, but I can not get the ghost division expansion to go beyond initializing. I have tried to download it twice and it still hangs on initializing. Currently I am running Windows XP, but in about a week or so I will be upgrading to windows 8. Figure its time to move out of the dark ages of operating systems
