Perhaps some list tweaking could do away with average drilled guard? Arguably if you can't crack either superior or veteran you aren't good enough to rate guard (and I say this as the owner of a Swedish army)

So to determine whether or not Guard cavalry are pointed appropriately a comparative assessment would be useful.

Superior Veteran Shock Heavy Line Cavalry have been quoted. How to they compare to a Guard Cavalry unit? Here is a couple of relevant comparisons. More would help but I'd better do some work now.
