Generally, the higher the resolution, the higher the font.

If this does not satisfy you, then follow those steps:
Go to the data folder. Find csv file corresponding the resolution used by you. Open it. Scroll to the very bottom of the file. You will find there some entries responsible for types and sizes of the fonts. You can adjust them to your needs.

Good question, this is the first thing I asked myself upon loading the game for the first time.

@Doomtrader
Thanks for the tip, the GUI is much easier to read with just a 1 point increase to the "small" fonts
