Do someone know how to make a railroad on the map? In which lua file are they?
I want to shift a railroad a hex to the north for my new city of Linz at the danube river...

Bad news. The railroad is already painted on the map.
See file Steam\SteamApps\common\Commander The Great War\data\graphics\maps\map.png

The map looks as it was painted by hand from satellite data. Look at the individual coastlines and islands. You cannot build such coastlines with custom hex tiles.
However rivers and railroad are aligned to hex tiles and look like they were placed later on the map using overlay tiles.

The data for rivers, railroads, etc. must be stored somewhere else, probably in the map-file :
Steam\SteamApps\common\Commander The Great War\data\maps\1914.map


So without the original Map-Editor you may probably have to figure out how to change both files : map.png and 1914.map

Lordz said in January 2013 they will release the map editor "soon".
Last time I asked they replied they are looking to finish the map editor after all ports are done.

I REALLY hope there will be some progress on it soon, the game is very moddable but without a map editor that is all rather useless...

Its simply to change the Map.png file its basically just a painting, I have changed the whole map to more map like textures.

I have no idea however how to change the .map file which I presume contains all the information for the type of tile and the railways.
