Going forwards, what can we hope to see from this game?

Post by raventhefuhrer »

Hello,

I bought this game recently in the Steam sale and I have to say I utterly enjoy it. I have all the DLC so far and I even got Da Orks. I'm curious to hear what, if any, further development we can expect for this game? What is on the horizon?

Will there be DLC for Da Orks?
Will there be a new standalone game featuring a different race?
Or has this iteration ceased development and now the 'next generation' will be Sanctus Reach?

Thanks in advance.

Sorry thought you wanted The Orks, but you found it. ;-)

I really hope theyll continue work with this franchise, as it is a quite different beast from Sanctus Reach.
Armageddon offers a more casual 40K fix where you can set the game pace to a larger extent.
And all those weapon fx are a joy to watch. Probably the best of any strategy game ever.

I think a new dlc / standalone edition featuring random skirmish vs AI would sell. That seems to be what fans in general want.

Another thing to improve on is variety in the form of lighting and weather.
The occasional night time battle would be really cool, with weapon fx lighting up the surrounding hexes with eerie colors.
Weather like rain fluctuating randomly, affecting tile modifiers etc. Lots of cool stuff could be added for improved replayability, variety and immersion.
