I've tried a few times - always it captured on first move - even before control passes to the player.
Why give task to the mission execution of which does not depend on the player?

You're right on this objective.

It's not impossible but it's based on luck and this is not good.

We have to re-balance this objective.

It's not worth holding it either. In order to hold it you almost always lose more units, but keeping it only gets you 1000 gold, which won't even replace one of the units you lost.

Also P.S does holding the camp lead to some side quest? Otherwise can't see much point to it
