From what I see the unit file has step = 1 for both StuPz IV switches, so that's fine. Gfx laggy?
I specifically saw it move, stop, move in a different direction, stop, fire. Graphics are fast moving and smooth from what I've seen. Not sure what is going on!

Well, save or it didn't happen
Edit: seriously. If you see it again make a save. If it's reproducable we can handle it.

sov3_06_Crimea: amphibious assaults ?

- sov3_06_Crimea(12).jpg (290.01 KiB) Viewed 1237 times
Did anyone have the courage to attempt an amphibious assault
We have two hexagons to deploy units on transport ships at the start for an amphibious assault (?)

Perhaps the naval infantry would be suitable for this commando mission ?
Is that amphibious assault historical ?

Wow that is an extremely armored force! I find my infantry often does better than the armor (by 1944) in battles against armor and obviously reinforces for way less, so I tend to prefer them. Plus, uh, I can like have a bunch of them which allows me to completely envelop the AI armored pushes. So a Panther will come raring in to fight my infantry, do like 3-4 damage, get shelled to bits and then get surrounded by the rest of the infantry and wiped out. Total cost of engagement is minimal. I usually anchor my line on terrain features when I suspect a counterattack is imminent and it only gets worse for the AI when I do that.
Biggest threat is obviously the self propelled guns, the AA and any infantry that might help the Panther reach the rear areas.
No, extremely mobile artillery group IMHO
IS-2 or T-34 and mot inf are for the protection of mobile artillery. The one combat group (mechanized corps) has 1x ISU-152, 1x ISU-122, 1x Katyusha, sometimes also SU-76M or some aux towed arty unit for periodically support - this is such an artillery power that sweeps everything along the way. I believe it is necessary with a limited number of motorized infantry
When I encounter a strong enemy armored group in the open terrain, the ISU-122 can support my tanks in a direct fight, an open question is when we have to do it, I think that the later the better
But like I mentioned earlier I'll try you way during the next play.

I think Crimea is supposed to be a bunch of second rate formations that have been enveloped and haven't received new equipment. I ran into bautruppe and stuff and plenty of older armor.

Crimea is already cut off by then indeed, except sea link via the Black Sea, but they didn't throw lotsa new formations in there by naval TP - rather tried to evac at the end.
edit. A smaller amphib landing supported by paradrop works IMO very well on Crimea to bypass some positions in the south - just need to air recon for suitable loc.

Didn't notice that spawn point or I'd have absolutely gone for it. I have a naval landing group exactly for that kind of stuff!

I feel like such a noob for asking this question, but how do you unassign a commander? I am playing the partisan campaign and fail due to not unassigning the 3 commanders.

Hm, land CP is set to 0. There's no impact from that 1, but we check it.

Oops, the button only appears once above the bridge
I used the paratroopers to blow up the bridges.

sov3_05_Korsun_Pocket
No location name for this village with the
Silver Flag near Kanev ?
It would be interesting to have a location name for this Primary Objective VP instead of having to capture an anonymous location:
