Can you bring over your core units from 39-40 to 41-42?

Hm, not sure. I guess you could use the import core tool. But it wouldnt help you that much since they would lose experience, you would have to buy them again. And you lose the commanders.
I'd suggest to not bother and start playing. But maybe Erik knows more about importing and will help you out.

Yes, it should be possible to import the core from Erik's Blitzkrieg 39-40 campaign.

Great that you are able to do carry-over. I just started from the beginning this weekend :D

Will it mess up the campaign if I dl the new patch?

I doubt it. Kriegsmarine is mostly naval units. But best ask Erik.
Another protip: Save between missions so you can play a new version from any starting point you want.

Hi Erik,

First, thanks for this amazing work ;)

I got an issue on the multiple choice at step 2 "Maleme, Rethimnon, Iraklioof" of this campaign, It shows only strategic map on full screen and we can't do anything else. Is there a simple fix?

I just tested this using the version available in the link. Works for me.
After finishing Metaxas you should get three selectable locations on Crete.
If you do not see this, maybe you got a corrupt download?

I have tryed each one of the 3 scenarii, i got the loading screen and after that, the current strategic map is displayed in full screen, without any possibility to go back to the "playable" map.

@Starbuck82
Oh, I know that 2d-map screen "error". It happens while loading the scenario. The game doesn't seem to find a proper object that was used creating the map.
Thanks to terrible error-logging of OOB without a single clue which object couldn't be found or at least which line in which file caused an error, it can take a while to figure such errors out.
I've cheated myself to any of the Crete scenarios with v1.8 which loaded fine so far. The only suggestion I have at moment is to reinstall the game, hopeing that everything is working fine again.

Ok thx
Can i squiz this scenario by editing data.cmp? and go directly to 6-Minsk?

edit: i found, editing Metaxas with result = 6,6,6,6,6.

@Erik: So there is a new version, right? I might play Kriegsmarine for a few days or weeks, but will get back to this.
Obviously, you have some new cadets for the furnace around here. "Sh-sh-shall we attack, Colonel Erik?" [counting their dogtags in his head] "Why yes, of course.."

Keep posting guys and remember - this is free content and has pretty much the same length as a full-price DLC. So pitch in for Erik. :D

I'll be back, too!
First, I'm going to sink some ships too before returning to my beloved green tank jungle in Mother Russia. I'm disappointed that we didn't get any new Soviet ships in KM, like the Gangut-class battleship for Leningrad.

It might take a few days or maybe a week or two, but now I am back to this. KM was a huge disappointment.

I can get import to work from 39-40...

My units doesn´t show between missions under army core.

Has this worked for anyone?

WarHomer, if the imported units don't show up under the coffin-tab, then load the last campaign save of the 39-40 campaign and export again. Maybe something got changed that made old core-saves invalid.

My units doesn´t show between missions under army core, so I cant even export...

Started 39-40 from the beginning and nuked the first mission and the units I bought doesn´t show up there either...

Okay, core-export function seems totally broken with the latest patches, even for original campaigns. I've already reported it to the tech-forum, so adherbal has something to do for the next week. :)

No i don't and going directly to 6-Minsk is not a good idea, core army is not large enough for this map ;)

In another thread "Erik's Campaigns", i stay on this conclusion (with every source up to date and double check):
Horst wrote:
I don't know what could be wrong for you guys there. All three Crete missions work fine for me with campaign v1.8.
When you guys load any of the failing scenarios, do you get any particular errors listed in "Order of Battle - WW2_Data/output_log.txt"?
"Failed to get pixels of splat texture" seems harmless, but there are possibly additional exceptional errors after the "**** NEW GAME LOAD ****" line which are repeated forever.
Ah, please don't post the complete log.txt file content!

Code: Select all

Failed to get pixels of splat texture

    (Filename: Line: 181)

Platform assembly: D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Order of Battle Pacific\Order of Battle - WW2_Data\Managed\Boo.Lang.dll (this message is harmless)
Unable to find shaders used for the terrain engine. Please include Nature/Terrain/Diffuse shader in Graphics settings.

    (Filename: Line: 60)

I have the same issue like Serezha70.
That's the first exception in my logs, appears there is a missing shader.
In result, many null reference exceptions.
