I'm pretty excited to see a continuation of the war in the East. I was quite the fan of Blitzkrieg, and hope the subsequent DLC in that theater will be great as well. So the next DLC will at least cover 1942/1943? By the looks of the Ferdinants and Panthers we will see some tough Kursk action, i hope to see Stalingrad as well. If this will be the next DLC that would make me pretty excited, i will be looking forward to an official announcement. Or is this the official announcement? Regardless, looking forward to the next installment on this great game, keep it up!

My guess would be that it starts with Demyansk Pocket and ends with Kursk. That should cover the middle of the Russia campaign, rest is just defense of the Reich.
The devs did a leak for Kriegsmarine as well, one of the flying boats. Someone back then correctly guessed Kriegsmarine. The official announcement came a lot later. Anyways, land campaigns are usually working neatly in OoB, so I guess this one will be good.

I really do hope that they just dont finish the entire German East in 2 DLC´s (2*10-14 missions).

I also don´t hope that they let it end with the defence of Berlin, but allows for a sort of branched campaign with the possibility of some real cool what-if´s and outcomes.

Anything else would be a real shame and a waste of potentiel. We have all read about WW2 and knows how it goes. I for one wants to see how it goes if I´m able to win the decisive battles that the Germans and Japanese couldn´t and not just with one or two final battles for Moscow, London and/or Washington.

I´m tired of reading about how the Americans outproduced the Japanese, and the Japanese could never win. It´s true in a historical sence, but doesn´t allow for the outcome if the Japs won all the battles (which I do in OOB) and thereby secured their desperately needed supplies in South East Asia while keeping losses at a minimum and experienced troops at a maximum.

Yeah, but for hypotheticals, you need to add all units and then some more. (Going full 1946 onward...) If they do that, my guess is that it will be all the way at the very end, after all other DLCs are done.
Lets just play short-term and hope the next DLC stays on par with Blitzkrieg, not Kriegsmarine.

Personally I'd be fine with Blitzkrieg I, II and so on for cams that go together.

"Volkskrieg" as such is not made up: https://de.wiktionary.org/wiki/Volkskrieg, but this meaning/usage seems rather outdated.

Tho the prob is as some noted that the meaning today has changed to something like "partisan" or "guerilla" war (with Volk/people as opposed to regular military).
Otoh using "Blitzkrieg" for content after Moscow 41 is not a good choice either, so I guess it's not easy to come up with catchy titles....

Yeah, I was guessing this one.

Title is least important, fun gameplay most. (Doesnt that also apply to porn? )

I remember joking with friends that "Panzercorps: Wehrmacht" is a good indicator that no German was involved in the development process. Still, it was a lot of fun to shout the title in mock German accents at the top of our lungs. (Try it at home and release the teutonic power of German words.) Anyway, Panzercorps turned out to be a legendary classic and powerful brand, despite the awkwardness. Lets hope OoB matches that.

Volkskrieg and Endkrieg remind me rather of Japanese anime titles. If Nippon doesn’t come to any good names of their own language, they tend to borrow from German. Maybe they also come to such titles after partying with too much beer.
Actually, I like Heavy Steel, although it also sounds more like a new RTS title. I'm terrible inventing good names either. Most German expressions could sound too much like nazi-glorification that could uncessarily receive too much shitstorm by people and press. Whatever, only the content matters!

It's a good thing, bebro. For myself, I'm thinking of printing this graphic, laminating it, attaching a lanyard, and wearing it around my neck so that I may lift and kiss it occasionally. Particularly the top left corner.

Nothing overly dramatic, you see. I have a naturally reserved nature. :|

At the other end of the excitement spectrum, we have Mr. CroCop96:

To be honest, I dont see that many new units there. (Still thanks for showing off, adherbal. More, please.)
There is a Sherman (maybe Firefly?), some Cromwells, infantry. New units are the Daimler armoured cars recon and the Bishop heavy mobile AT. Not sure about the planes.
Also, I vaguely remember that Burma and Malaya were mostly infantry actions in the jungle, so no need for heavy armour.
Or did I misread everything here?

Yeah, Afrikakorps is my favourite, too. Have you tried the campaign in Panzercorps? Marvelous. I know, the graphics look oldish now, but the gameplay makes it up easily. And voice briefings with weirdo German accents. ("ve must take alam halfa ridge frromm ze alliiies"). Cant wait for Erik to port this one to OoB. The supply system will add a totally new dimension to most maps and missions.

There are Lee tank and Marmon-HArrington armoured car also.
The planes - Blenheim and Whitley? Or maybe Beaufighter (the little one)?

The Maps looks like the first one from the Tutorial, so I guess the screenshot was taken during another playtest for the new units.

Having in mind the "Campaign leak" I actually don't think we're going back to the Pacific that soon, if at all in the future ... sadly ... but in general it's a good thing that they are working on new content, so I'm not complaining that much.

Good catch on the Marmon-Herrington. Didnt know that one, all the British ACs look pretty much the same to me. Dozens of variants, too.
The M3 Grant was already in the original OoB, so they just had to redo a paint job and switch flags, done.
Good to know that this is a fast job for them, so Afrikakorps with desert camo should be easy and fast.
Still struggling with the planes - any experts around here? Small one seems to be a Beaufighter. Two engines, single gun bulb facing backwards. Other one is two engines, rear gun position at the end. Definitely not Lancaster, had four engines. Whitley was more arrow-shaped and had double rear panels. (browsing wikipedia now) I guess its a Vickers Wellington. Rear turret, front turret behind glass, two engines. Am I right?

The M3 Lee was, not the Grant.

And all the vehicles in this screenshot are new. Unless a couple snuck into the Kriegsmarine update, but they weren't used on any previous scenarios then.
