To avoid any confusion between Legion Arena and THE HISTORY CHANNEL Great Battles of Rome here is some information.
* GBoR has a PS2 and PSP version!
* Over 30 highly detailed movies created from the vast source material available at THE HISTORY CHANNEL. All are then scripted and voice overs recorded and blended together with music to create really immersive movies.
* A completely new, much improved and more attractive user interface
* New ambush feature allowing troops to hide in forests
* New scouting attribute for units which determines how good they are at spotting units hiding in forest.
* All new music and lots more of it. A variety of 4 battle tracks mean you wont get bored, and the quality is execllent.
* Many gameplay tweaks to improve the playability of the game and balance.
The core game engine underneath is however the same as Legion Arena, so don't expect something completely different. If you already have Legion Arena, make sure these differences are enough for you to be happy about purchasing it.

Let me just say that, in this day of game designers trying to pinch pennies and pass retreads off as new, and of trying to pretend that their turn-based strategy games are action-packed twitchfests, it is refreshing to see a designer going out of their way to spell out the differences and make sure that people know EXACTLY how similar to a previous game their new game is.
Kudos to Slitherine, who not only makes great games, but sells them with the utmost of ethical standards.
