The Poles and Ottomans are already in the game. (Not in the historical scenarios, but in the random map games). Likewise Transylvanian/Hungarians.

It would therefore already be possible to do Vienna as a scenario using the editor. You would just need to add some units to the squads file for the Austrian foot units with perhaps only 15% pikemen. If you don't want to get into 3D modelling you would have to use existing unit models that look like they have more than 15% pikes or no pikes at all - we chose the latter option for the Royalist units with 15% pikes at Edgehill.

We still haven't been able to find any historical paintings showing late 17th century units with only a small proportion of pikes, and are not entirely sure how the pike were deployed. If anyone has any information on this, or can link any contemporary depictions, it would help with getting this model right.

We hope to fill in all the gaps eventually, but it all takes time to do properly.

In Editor Polish Winged Hussars are available only for side1 (AI side).
Some other formations (for example Parlamentarian Horse) are available only to the side1, too.
Is this right?
Maybe i did something wrong?

Yes.

However, you can reverse the sides that the units are available for by including in your campaign folder a Sides.txt file containing

[Axis]
string IDS_SIDE1
DECOR 0
DECORSHIELDMASK 1985
UICOLOURINDEX 0
SKIRMISHFLAGS 1

[Allies]
string IDS_SIDE0
DECOR 0
DECORSHIELDMASK 65535
SKIRMISHFLAGS 0

[Test]
string IDS_SIDE2
DECOR 0
DECORSHIELDMASK 65535
SKIRMISHFLAGS 0

This will reverse the units - so that units that are normally available to side1 will be available only to side0 and vice versa.

Note that you will need to create a new scenario for this to work. It won't work on one you have already started.

(Note that unfortunately the engine uses the terms [Allies] and [Axis] to define the main alliances. This is possibly the only WW2 thing that is actually hard-coded into the engine.)

This sides.txt file goes in your campaign folder, which will be

\My Documents\My Games\PikeandShot\whatever_you_called_your_campaign
