Warhammer Armageddon

Post by Georgeg »

Is there a way to change the default saved location. It keeps trying to save to an old disk which I want to remove. Anytime I disconnect it I get an error --

Are you referring to the game installation folder or the to the folder where the save games are stored?

Where the saved games are Seems it has picked a random location which is a "temporary" location

The location is always the same in the Documents folder at:

...\Documents\My Games\Warhammer 40,000 Armageddon\SAVE

Yes but it is saving to a disk which normally doesn't exist --- I have re installed twice and it still defaults to a temporary file location. The location is an old floppy disk which was installed to move old data to a hard drive. When I disconnect the game does not work. This disk is not included in my documents or in the library. I do not know how it is finding the location. Is the saved location in the registry where I can manual change the disk id and move the saved from the old location to the new?

Try deleting the file named OPTIONS.TXTand settings.whdat with the floppy drive disconnected from your system and restart the game.

Thanks for the suggestion ---- got it to work kind of ---- copied everything form the temp disk to a hard disk -- renamed hard disk and it works but I still do not know why it picked the temp.. Will try your suggestion to see if I can get saved back to where they normally should be. At least now not tied to an old floppy disk drive.

Thanks again!!!
