History requests & errata...

Post by blahblah3502 » Sun Jun 29, 2014 6:30 am

A couple of howlers in the (generally wonderful) history sections: the description of the relations between Britain and the Commonwealth Dominions ( Australia, NZ, South Africa...) is good but India is implied to be part of this group too, which is odd, since India was a still an imperial possession of Britain at this point in history ( there were some British intentions to try and steer India towards Dominion status rather than full independence but of course that never happened);

also in the Auchinleck bio : Rashid Ali, an adversary of Auchinleck's, is implied to be a political leader in India. But he wasn't, Ali was a political leader in Iraq.

A couple of pony requests :
1) would love to see an equipment piece on The Polish Mine Detector especially given the importance of mine removal in the game =)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polish_mine_detector

2) maybe I missed it, but maybe just a little bit on the Free French, Greeks etc on the CW side?

CW defeat telegram message at the end says "STRONG ENEMY RAVAGING COLONIES"
... But Egypt was never a colony of Britain - it was a protectorate and then in this WW2 period , a technically fully independent kingdom with strong British influence and military bases in practice http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of ... he_British
