Arrival date of the new patch

Is there any information, when we can expect the new patch? Since the last one introduced new bugs and some of them game breaking, it shouldn´t be too much at ask, that the developpers keep their customers at least informed about this crucial issue.

Frankly I have a hard time with Order of Battle - it is such a great game, and you can see all the effort that is put into it. But every time there is a new patch, there is a new problem, new bugs, installation issues or something else - and above all a horrendous communication about this issues. I have a limited amount of time and I would like to know, if a campaign is playable or not, and if not, when it will be playable.
For example I know, that Blitzkrieg is not playable - I somewhere read, that there might be similar issues with the Kriegsmarine campaign (not talking about the carrier issue, but about a primary objective problem - is this true and still there?) - and no idea when this will be fixed. Also there are issues with Morning Sun (planes/chinese wall), where I don´t even know, if they will be fixed at all. Not to mention all the unit bugs out there. The occasional CTD for some people in Panzerkrieg.
Actually I spent more time, searching for bug solutions (I remember the little ones like no music, black flags, wrong combat prognosis), estimating which campaign I can probably play without a premature end due to bugs and so on, than actually playing it.

It is a shame that a game, that would be one of my favourite tbs games, is also the one that costed me the most frustration in terms of bugs, patches and so on. If any of the developpers is reading this - I would really like to ask you, why you can´t get your things together. You are not the only company with a small team out there and as good as the game is, it has one of the worst quality managements I have ever seen (for a top quality game of course).

Best Regards

I too would like to see this new patch fix some things as I've had trouble with Panzerkrieg and Rising Sun. This game is getting bigger and bigger and maybe it's time to bring out a new version or something like it to split it up from the Pacific theater and the European theater. Just an idea that might make things easier in the long run.
You have Sandstorm working great but this last update must have messed with some of the other DLC's.
I hope a whole new update can come out and fix all the problems as I truly like this game and bought it when it first came out. I've also beta tested a few DLC's also and saw some of the problems.
Good luck with this guys as I know you'll get it all set in time.

So there are problems with Rising Sun, too? At this point, which campaign is actually playable at the current time?
This is exactly the kind of inresponsible and inacceptable quality management I was speaking about. And obviously, once again there will be no answer from the developers.
Could you maybe specify what the problems are with Rising Sun, I didn´t see anything so far on the forum.

I am thinking that, wherever in the official DLC the scenario designer used the Check Unit Count condition in any trigger, that this might be causing errors in other DLC. I have been wondering that for a while and watching to see if it came up elsewhere other than the Norway scenario in Blitzkrieg.

It makes sense that it would and if so, makes it even more important to have this issue resolved soon. Let's hope that it is this issue if other campaigns are not operating as expected and not some other issue(s) as well.

Long story made short, a while back somebody reported that this Check Unit Count condition did not properly distinguish between core and non-core units as indicated on its settings. What apparently happened is that in fixing this problem, the developers created another problem which led to the reports about Norway in Blitzkrieg about bad objective counting. If it's bad in Blitzkrieg, it's bound to be bad in other DLC. That's my take on this, at least.

I'd expect it to release on Monday.

There will undoubtedly be a patch list supplied with the update.

Of course there will be - nevertheless it would be nice to know it before - well I guess this is part of what I meant with communication

Agree. But to be fair, the changelog was quite detailed the last few times , so I'll hope they keep that up.

Shards, thanks for the update. My two cents is to always wait for the best patch rather than trying to make an arbitrary deadline but communication is a must, regardless. Much appreciated. Now I can stop pressing F5! Until tomorrow.

I welcome everything on your changelist of course but I am intrigued by "- Fixes and improvements to Campaign Editor." I happened to notice something while rooting around. This is just talking out loud so I am not asking a question, but I wonder if the language that I saw in one of the current files indicates that it will be easier for us to link cores (export/import) from one custom campaign to another in the upcoming version.

Hi,

I don't think any news toys got added to the editor set. I think it was mostly fixes for issues reported in other threads on here.

I didn't see anything on the list about Panzerkrieg stopping on the Kursk scenario. Sure hope that gets fixed also. I sent you all the info on it but sure don't see anything about it. Or the crashes on U.S. Marines after New Georgia. Or the missing Engineers on the Java scenario of Rising Sun. I realize these things take time but I didn't even get an answer when I sent the Zip files in. Sure hope this Update fixes the game back where you can play any campaign without any problems.
