I'm sorry but English is not a very precise language, especially for people who are not "nativ speakers"
I'm not proficient in its use, at most, I use it correctly
I also think that the silence around this subject would be the worst solution

Hello. I have the same problem with French language. I translate Englis language to French language and I added the missing line. I controlled all the campaigns !!! For you (google translator)
event_trigger_31_81_title = HOLD THE LINE
event_trigger_31_81_text = The Soviets are throwing everything they have into the defense of Moscow
In german language
event_trigger_31_81_title = BLEIBEN SIE DRAN
event_trigger_31_81_text = Die Sowjets werfen alles, was sie haben, in die Verteidigung von Moskau
You have to check when on your own, even if the translation is accurate, it's the best I can do. Greetings.
Hi, and here's the translation with DeepL, which is more accurate and better than Google's:
event_trigger_31_81_title = hold the line
event_trigger_31_81_text = The Soviets throw everything they have into the defense of Moscow.
The problem is simply that the trigger is not present in the German text file.
Hello. I didn't know about this program. You can solve this problem as I did, namely: check each campaign (English language and yours) and modify what is incorrect or add what is missing (in your example event trigger ... title, event trigger ... text). I know, it's long and tedious but I've fixed a lot of mistakes as well (English to French). Greetings

How about:
event_trigger_31_81_title = HALTEN SIE DIE STELLUNG
event_trigger_31_81_text = Die Sowjets setzen alle verfügbaren Reserven (/ Streitkräfte) zur Verteidigung Moskaus ein.
Hello. As I said, I'm not an expert in German language. I tried to help. Seeing the different errors on the forum, I rechecked all the campaigns (including scenarios) from English to French, as well as the "language" files. What a job! Greetings.

Gabe, I've thrown down the gauntlet of challenge via a PM to you instead, my friend. You would be good at it, so please consider it and advise me.

bru888 wrote: Thu Nov 29, 2018 7:46 pm Yes, I specifically said above "How they were resolved, and if/when a patch will be issued to fix these bugs is unknown to me." No one should be expecting an instantaneous patch for each issue or even any patch at all before the next DLC update, necessarily. I am merely trying to give the community some sense that there is a process at work to resolve issues and that progress is being made. If there are any more misunderstandings, however, I will allow matters to revert to their former silence around here.
There were two posts regarding BoB mod not working after the comment you mention, so obviously it wasn't clear to everyone at this point that "resolved" does not automatically translate to being available for the player.

What I did was a clarification of process for ppl who can't access bugtracker, and are not sure if and how anything set to "resolved" there would affect them.

And that is really all there is. If you take this as some kind of personal attack - it wasn't.

I don't have a problem with postings about what got resolved, but in all this it should be clear to the player what it means, and what it does not.

Thanks. Then I will continue to make my way, hopefully without stepping on toes. Gabe has smacked me across the face with my gauntlet in refusal but he gave me some good advice which I intend to follow. :)

Thank you. What you said means a lot to me and goes to the essence of why I do what I do here. The game is basically good and I want it to succeed which means satisfying customers and building a community.

Some users here are the pillars of our small community and it would be a huge loss if they withdrew from their function...

I want to report a certain issue about which someone had already written but we forgot about it - there is a missing Baukommando Becker spec in PK, which allows to buy Marders
There is this specialization both in Sandstorm and ES, but unfortunately it disappeared where is most needed
Question: does anyone know how to fix it on their own in the editor or in the game files?
This is very important for all history buffs... :wink:

That's great! :D After reading those previous posts I was afraid you would step down which would have been a terrible loss. Your work here is imo invaluable. Actually so much so I wouldn't mind them toes too much.. ;)

Thanks, Cool. I wasn't thinking of disappearing; just morphing into my evil twin, Deja Bru. :evil: Thus I would still have been around but I must admit there are some perks for being a moderator, such as being able to edit and sort threads and having access to the bugs database for which I have high hopes.

Kondi, I am going through a learning process of specialisations in the campaign editor, prompted by the campaign branch date / specialisations.csv issue that was reported. Interesting stuff. So, I will take a look tonight after work (US EST) and see what I can find unless somebody else posts a solution in the meantime.

Yeah, and now you know my reasons: Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely... :mrgreen:

You could ask Horst about it, if he's willing. He's done quite some changes himself.

I wonder if the emergence of Deja Bru could be considered such a corruption... :mrgreen: Bru himself only uses those powers for the common good. I can only fathom how much work it takes to sort out a huge number of posts and threads to make something as convenient as the first post in this thread.

Bru, I will be obliged, I made some "historical" changes in German GC, one of them will be the correct use of this specialization
After testing, I will make them available for everyone

Horst is very unwilling these days. :P
If someone wants to edit the availability of specs for campaigns then firing-up the campaign editor is the best approach to check the spec-tab there. You just have to copy over the whole campaigns from installation to the user folder to access the vanilla campaigns. After saving, you need to copy back the campaign.cmz file to the installation folder or simply play from the custom-campaign menu. Creating backup of installation folders is always a wise decision.
I hope that was enough info.

Thanks Horst, it was enough to mark this specialization in spec's panel indeed :oops:

That may fix the problem, but that file will not download over my wireless. Any way to get it on DVD?

kondi, I am glad that you got it to work.

tswita662, I'm not official but I'm reasonably sure that they don't offer the game or its patches on DVD or CD-ROM anymore. I have read references to a "boxed edition" or something but I don't know what that is, to be honest. If you look at the store, however, nowhere does it offer the game by anything else but "Download."

So you will need to get to another computer, a friend's or relative's or maybe a public library that isn't too restrictive, download the file, save it on a thumb drive (you need at least 2.8 GB space), then move it to your computer. As the OP says, you're better off downloading the installation file, not the patch, and reinstalling the game from scratch including entering your DLC product keys if necessary (but if you leave the DLC product key text files alone when you uninstall 6.1.9, you may not need to do so).

And you are also better off getting it from Matrix's member page as shown in the OP because Slitherine's is rather serpentine to find and navigate.
