I am currently working on a Korean mini-campaign for testing purposes.
Most of the (Soviet and US) equipment is already in place. In fact, the first scenario only needs a proper North-Korean faction to be "perfect" .

Is anyone still thinking about creating a Korean mod?
I would very much like to be part of a project like this.
I have map/OOB-data for 3 full campaigns :D

Hmmm, I would love to help if we were to continue this mod, but I still have to learn a LOT of stuff within the game. I'm still technically new to these topics.

There are a lot of US and Soviet WW2 equipment that were used in Korea.
What is needed is a few more factions; North and South Korea, Turkey.
US and Soviet WW2 hardware needs to be available for the various factions.
The above should be relatively easy to mod.
Adding new equipment would be the most difficult part.

Agree. You'll need some flag pics and such, but should be no problem overall.

What's the bare minimum of completely new units you would need for that project? I guess some units could be copied to "make-believe" new units, but I guess, some couldn't...?

Should we continue this mod?

Also,

I have nooo idea. I haven't looked at alot of Cold War battles; let alone the Cold War itself. I'm assuming it'd be a couple years after WW2, so probably there's going to be a lot of the same units, but some of them have to have more advanced technology from the last war.

I have only started to scratch on the Korean surface.
Remember, this was just 5 years after WW2 ended, so I guess the '45 versions of regular inf and heavy inf could be used as is.
Tanks, artillery etc is also WW2 stuff (Sherman, Chaffe, T34/85, 105mm, Priest, 122mm, M16 etc).

I have not attempted to create any (workable  ) mod myself yet.

For this first 5-scenarios mini-campaign-test (set in autumn 1950) we would need:

US:
F51 Mustang. Maybe, it looks like this was just a 1947 re-designation of the P51
F4U Corsair w/Napalm (nasty stuff...) Adding some ground support stat?

Turkish faction/flags etc:
45' Inf + heavy inf

NKPA (North Korea) faction/flags etc:
45' Inf + heavy inf + eng
122mm M38 (Soviet)
76mm M27 (Soviet)
SMG inf (new, the Soviets need one as well)
45mm M37 (Soviet)
57mm ZIS-2 (Soviet)
Truck (Soviet)
T34/85 (Soviet)

China:
45' Inf + heavy inf + eng
SU-76 (Soviet)
76mm M27 (Soviet)
57mm ZIS-2 (Soviet)
75mm M8 how (new?)

I would be willing to help with this. Could add it onto my Pacific War mod.

Sorry if it's like this, the attachments function is a bit messy to handle
[ex: It just deletes my attachments when using preview, wont add pictures, etc.]

:!: Also, don't know if those are the correct flags.

All of those units should be relatively easy to add. The real problem is the later game. Lots of new aircraft and stuff like that. Also, the if you want the DPRK and PLA to have the ushanka hat, you’ll have to add that in.
