AI question for scenario design
This might not be the place to put this question, but here goes:
How does one have friendly units in a scenario move independently of the player? I have tried setting up a separate AI team and that doesn't work (yet, anyway -- the player can still move his units.) Maybe there is another list of AI teams for friendly units that I can't find.
I want to have certain friendly units move toward objectives regardless of what the player wants to do with them. Suggestion?
thanks- scenario design is turning out to be fun!

Re: AI question for scenario design
Set a human and an AI player to be in the same team and another AI in the "enemy" team/alliance. There are many stock scens using that mechanic you can look into for reference. Like the last one of WinterWar DLC (with the Soviet "friends")

Uh-Oh -- Can you have some US units assigned to human and others assigned to AI?

Thanks -- Could I impose upon you to show a screen shot of the proper Alliances settings to assign elements from a single faction to both AI and Human? So sorry to bother but it's making me crazy... I'm probably not holding my lips right!
I would send you one of mine but none of them work, and I can't figure out how to look at the guts of a scenario I didn't download.

Something like this?
Please correct me if I'm wrong, I'm not designing scens very often.

Re: AI question for scenario design
Thanks, all. I got it to work but it seems that one human cannot control two factions. I'll keep working around that issue.
thanks again!

Re: AI question for scenario design
Thanks, GabeKnight, for the clarification and your patience.
Here is the way I ended up doing it, almost by accident, and it matches your post. Now first-time scenario producers have two examples of two humans in a scenario. My problem was I had too many columns. I think... anyway here it is. It shows the Americans (human and AI) and British (AI only) fighting the Germans (AI only). Now first-time scenario makers have two examples of two human-controlled factions in a scenario.
Thanks again -
