How many fighters are loaded

NB question. Loaded fighters on my carrier to full capacity 100/100 but the roster of fighters shows only ten fighters. What does the 100/100 mean?

100 is the "capacity". Each small fighter has "size" of 10. Later you'll research interceptors - their "size" is 15. Heavy fighters and gunboats are even bigger.
