LF Charging Camp

Post by ney63 »

Can a Battle group of Light Foot charge a camp??
I was told no and i believed what i was told, but since looked it up and how it is written i believe you can.
It says if a enemy Battle group chargers a unfortified camp it is sacked but only a Battle troops can defeat a Fortified camp. page 20
So LF are not Battle Troops but are a Battle group. Page 18

restrictions to charge LF page 64.
A BG of entirely of LF cannot charge un broken non skirmishers in the open. IS a camp classed as a unbroken non skirmish troops???

I might be just having a Blonde moment

LF can charge an UF camp page 73
Fortified camps can only be defeated by foot battle troops, pages 94 and 18.
So Andy you are correct.

But as Andy said LF cannot charge unbroken non-skirmishers in the open.
Badly worded or the intention?

Anyway shouldn't you be publishing the R&R for roll call Andy? Just screw over the list for the scoundrel that did this to you
phil
putting the arg into argumentative, except for the lists I check where there is no argument!

Badly worded or the intention?
The wording on P73 couldn't be clearer.

P18 defines Battle Troops (Non-skirmishers) as any troops other than LF or LH (or mixed BGs containing some LF). Camps are not troops, so LF can charge unfortified ones.

Page 22 also states that a camp is not a BG.
